View Full Version : Green turbo = what in 1/4 mile
t-kid 03-17-2004, 04:14 PM Hi,
I want to buy a FP green but wanted to know about the 1/4 mile time and trapped that's supposed to do with 19-20psi
big_adventure 03-17-2004, 04:19 PM Give it more boost than THAT - it's hardly breathing there.
t-kid 03-17-2004, 05:06 PM will it run under 11.70

Gotta give more info! What boost, race gas, nitrous,?? It is not going to run under 11.7 at 19-20 that is for sure, mabey with a big shot!

Yes it will, but if you are asking this kind of question about the FP green, there is a high probability that you lack the driving skill to do so.
t-kid 03-17-2004, 05:25 PM Ok yes i'm sorry!!!!
I have a forged bloc (2.0l), UTEC, HKS EVC, 800CC injector, Turboxs FMIC, Going to order a turboxs dog box.
So I wanted to know wath would I espect to run 1/4 on C-16 tuned by nathan to ;)
Cause the ultimate racing stage 5 run's 11.894's at 114.72 mph with race gas
stickman 03-17-2004, 08:23 PM jinxproof ran 11.8 at 117 w/ FP green and race fuel on stock tranny:eek:
that mofo can drive plus he backed it up w/ another 11 sec run.
TRCWRX 03-17-2004, 09:07 PM Damn....11.8 @117 on a stock tranny!.....  !!
axion7606 03-18-2004, 12:18 AM yep he's selling his car for 18,000! woot!
mr2guru 03-18-2004, 01:08 AM Triple X ran 120 traps with my green on a stock longblock and race gas....
t-kid 03-18-2004, 09:36 AM Is the green turbo will be stronger than the ultimate racing stage 5 tuned good or it would be the same
AutoSpeedWRX 03-18-2004, 09:41 AM If you are asking all these questions, then chances are you arent ready to own a green yet. Do some searching there is a good amount of info about it on here.
cjm04WRX 03-18-2004, 11:12 AM Dan (TripleX) ran 11.8 @121 on a Green
t-kid 03-18-2004, 11:33 AM I wanted the best kit for my car for the 1/4 mile so that's why i ask a lot of question??????????

Instead of people trying to judge if he is worthy or not, why don't you just help him out with information. If you can't add value then don't bother to waste his time by posting. Go start your own thread and flame on.
illspace 03-18-2004, 12:25 PM Uh oh... And it begins... More jealous old men...
V6TurboTA 03-18-2004, 08:11 PM Easy street ran 140+mph with 740cc injectors... you sure you need 800's?

4 740cc injectors can support 650whp?
XT6Wagon 03-19-2004, 12:22 PM I'd have to do the math but think about running 80-90 psi on boost instead of 60 or so max like the stock regulator can handle.
fimotorsports 03-19-2004, 12:48 PM 11's will be easy, expect traps around 117+, I made a couple runs at 120-121, the top end is nuts. Make sure you have a trans and a clutch that wouldn't hold (taped my foot to the clutch pedal) I can't wait to see what mr2guru will run with the green on his motor!

yes but notice they did not disclose the fuel pressure they were running them at, like i said before i am sure they are running upwards of 90-100 psi thru those injectors w/ 3 fuel pumps keeping it there and running the nitrous kit a lil more on the "wet" side to help things out....or at least that's kinda what i think

jinxproof99 03-20-2004, 11:49 AM 11.87 @ 117
11.91 @ 117
11.94 @ 118
the car is obviously a little harder to launch with a green versus a vf series or stock turbo. seemed like it either wanted to run a 2.0 60 ft or a 1.7 60 ft. nothing inbetween. lol. these runs were at FULL weight, full leather interior, 17" rims, full exhaust. NO nitrous. about 27-28 lbs of boost. i really think the green on my set up would easily run a 11.60 with somemore track time. we had some problems getting the turbo to run 30 psi(which is where the green shines)we couldn't get it to stop spiking on the initial hit. with 30 psi, the car would definetly run 11.40's. in the same full street trim. i weighted in at 3350 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!
i think a typical 3100-3200 dsm with a stock 2 liter motor runs about 11.20's with a green. they have a slight head/cam/intake manifold advantage. and maybe alittle gearing.
its THE BEST bolt on turbo you can buy for the wrx without a doubt.
and by the way. you can run 22 lbs of boost(approximately) on a forged internal 2 liter with 93 octane gas with the green. that will get you probably 360-380 hp to the wheels relatively safely. maybe more. you should be knocking on a 12.00 - 12.20. with the turboxs gears, you will see at least 11.99 or better in my opinion. based on my car's set up and weight, etc....
BassMan097 03-20-2004, 05:25 PM I'm installing a Green next week with a 46 mm Tial external wastegate. I'll only be running 19-20 psi on pump gas until I build the motor and trans. When I do, however, I've been told 11.40 on C16, perhaps a bit lower on C23. I'm not a drag racer, though, but I will take it to the strip once the motor and trans are built. With nitrous and race gas, plus a built motor, you're looking at close to 11.0 if you launch the piss out of it. The number obviously improve if, all else being equal, you up the displacement on your motor. There are so many factors, its hard to speculate, but Jinx's numbers on a stock trans and race gas are a good barometer to start with.
