Thats funny.........It would fit perfect......its just the JDMedness that makes it not bolt on.

JDM hoods are the same as usdm hoods.

Plasteredcat/Whit04WRX - If your referring to 04 STi CF hood scoops we got an initial shipment that was pre-sold and were waiting on 8 more. The 4" monster is only for 02-03.

Whit04WRX - I haven't measured the height of the STi hood scoop. When I get more CF ones in I'll take out the ruler.

shields102 - I've never put my hand on a hood scoop off a JDM WRX. I was told the bolt holes that hold the scoop have different offsets even thought the hood itself might be the same. Not being able to put my claws on one myself I only report what definately needs to be done for mounting this puppy. Your still able to mount the factory scoop even after you widen the bolt holes for this one.

I can't really tell from the pic. I'm trying to find out wether or not there's some kind of support beams in the front of the scoop(like the stock/STi scoops have). My carbon fiber scoop came with aluminum mesh and looked absolutely horrible(wings west much?) but I painted it black.

The 4" scoop doesn't use any support beam. It does have a mesh grill included. I've had this one on the car since late October(I think) and it hasn't had any warping issues(or any issues) in the time I've driven with it.

STI808 - I'm going to be getting out of the hood market. I just don't want to stock the oversized items that need to be shipped via freight carrier and I try to make every attempt I can at NOT drop shipping products if all possible. It's neccesaary once in a while but I prefer to stock what I sell, and hoods are not an ecomomical item for me to ship. Long winded answer of no.

WRXOwner7 - I use to get a regular fiberglass version of this scoop, but I was unhappy with the quality of it(or inconsistant quality). I have never had an issue with the CF ones so I made decision to just carry the CF.

Well you have to take into account that the other scoop is 2 years old but looked just like your scoop but with the blue weave in it when it was new(but smaller). The finish is a little cloudy making it look the way it does in the picture. Either way your scoop is a much better example of how to hand lay CF should look rather than my old STI one.

How good JSP CF hoods are compared to the Seibon ones?.. and also Stock Al. hood in terms of durability and resistance? I am replacing my stock hood because I have few dents in front for unfortunately having rocks falling in front of my car.

Does the CF hood+scoop come with all the part necessary to replace the stock Al hood?

I would be interested in a non-cf one too.
