Alright I got my gauge pod casing today. I don't have the gauges yet, but I just wanted to see how it fit in there. I can't get the freakin' Center Panel A out of the dash. I've removed the 2 screws underneath it (storage bin) and also the 2 screws next to the cup holder. I've tried pulling it forward and it will partially unsnap, but then it won't budge.

Help me, how the @#%@# do I get it out?

Thanks Peaty, but I had already printed out a copy of that ahead of time so I wouldn't have any problems.....oh well. Those little tabs on the side are impossible to get to without damaging the dash.

I just put some muscle into it and yanked it out. "Take that Subaru". Even if I had broken those tabs, there are more on the new vent piece. Man, that pissed me off.

For future reference:

stick a flat edge between the vinyl part of the dash and the vent, and you can easily pry the tabs out with no damage at all... sorry i didnt get to you sooner...
