I'd be more worried about your engine components than the ecu. The ecu will probably make it through the ordeal fine :p

i only plan on spraying from second gear on. i just want to know that with the turbo spooling about 16 pounds of boost would the motor be ok with a 50 shot

If you have the ECU tuned for the event, you will be ok. Let them know what you are planning to do. Also make sure you have bigger injectors. You WILL run out of fuel with N20 without bigger injectors.

i would consider going with cobbs stg 2.5 (uses bigger turbo and bigger injectors) and then try running your 50 shot.

With a wet kit and a larger fuel pump (255lph) wouldn’t that take care of fuel starvation? The wet kit adds the extra fuel needed via the fuel jet and there would only be a loss in pressure/volume. The fuel pump should take care of this, correct?

I am only speaking from experience from spraying NA cars though. I’m not as familiar with turbo/nitrous combos.

i thought i would be ok with just a fuel pump if anyone is 100 percent sure what i can and cant do let me know

how did it go? I wonder also...

remember that the fuel pump is not nessesary with the cobb stage 2 or 2.5 , and dont forget that the FPR will adjust accordingly to what the ECU tells it to , not what the FP is sending. i think that the wet system is risky without the proper "flexible" tuning. get the StreetTuner and make yourself a map that is needed.

you could use a boost activated switch to turn the nitrous off once you reached a a certain boost level and the once you change gears it would give shots untill that pressure is reached again.the switch is like 50 bucks.

dont forget that the FPR will adjust accordingly to what the ECU tells it to

 There is a hose going directly from the intake manifold to the FPR. How can the ECU control that?

The simple rule to nitrous is to reduce timing and boost. You most definitely should use an upgraded fuel pump when running a nitrous setup. You want to make sure you have more then enough pressure to cover the fuel solenoid and your injectors.

I don’t think that throwing a 50 shot on a map not tuned for it would be a good idea. You should call Cobb and see what they say.

wbcjr- i agree, but what about from the FPR to the injectors? cant the FPR still limit the amount, hence the FPR "tap" mod?

Just use a larger jet for the fuel then recomended so you get a low 10.0 to 1 AFR, maybe even lower to be safe. Make sure you have an upgraded fuel pump. I am running a 40 shot of nitrous that gave me an additional 67hp on my wrx. Had to special order the jets from NX.

Yes, kinda. But the ECU has nothing to do with it.
