I have 4 VF38's sitting on a self here at the shop. I need to get rid of them.

$350 + shipping. They are brand new, in perfect condition and they are not a direct bolt-on.

Make them gone... :)

What info would you like? All I've been able to figure out on these is that the MY03 STi RA Spec C comes with the Twin scroll turbo (VF38), but nothing about boost charts, flow characteristics, etc..

It takes more than a turbo to make HP ;). You might as well ask him how much horsepower STi pistons will give you ;).

vf38? I thought it was the 36 and 37 were the twin scrolls. 36 on the wrx sti and 37 on the spec C...?

I thought the VF38 was the new JDM Legacy turbo. It's twin-scroll and has an odd compressor outlet.

I've been getting conflicting information on what car these are off of, they are indeed VF38's, twin scoll, IHI turbo's. I just can't find crap on them...

I've seen mainly references to the RA using them, but a few articles off an Austalian news sites suggesting the legacy.

With supporting mods (800 cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, dyno tune), how much hp can you get out of it?

I don't believe that's a known entity, since the turbo's have only been around for a short time, and to the best of my knowledge, no one in the states has used it (since it requires new up and down pipes).

Dug e fresh (sp?) was getting around 320 whp with his version 7/8 hybrid motor using this turbo. From what i've heard it's about equal (the stock sti ra ball bearing ) is about equal to a vf30/34.

Sounds about right.

Not a direct bolt on, why would you go with it over a VF30/34?

its a twin scroll turbo so it will spool up quicker than single scroll.

the v.8 RA twinscroll turbo is vf36 and its ball bearing
the v.8 regular twinscroll is vf37
