tom@kartboy 04-02-2004, 09:30 PM Thanks to everyone who purchased our first run. They went out WAY faster than we had ever hoped, but that left us with our pants down! DOH!
We received our latest shipment of shifter bushings today and turned the order page back on.
Order AWAY!

Silver-Bolt 04-02-2004, 10:21 PM Tom,
Would these be a benefit on the factory STi (6MT) short shifter?

wrx_fun 04-03-2004, 01:35 AM Just place my order. Is there a definitive answer on the best (easiest) way to install these on the STI when only doing the bushings?
StiDreams 04-04-2004, 05:28 PM wrx_fun.
Look at the install thread.

Use steps 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 11. You might be able to skip steps 4 and possibly 5 also if you're willing to deal with the fustration of having that stuff in the way. But doing them will probably make your install less of a PITA. After step 7 you should be able to get at the bushigns. Do step 11 and then reverse what you just did for reassembly.
wistful 04-05-2004, 11:45 PM any update on the short shifter itself? I'd prefer to do things at once. and I wanna get a Kartboy SS. =)

wgknestrick 04-13-2004, 04:27 PM These things are great. I would install these and see how you like them before plopping $$ down on a short shifter. We don't have that crappy WRX one in STIs. These along with the tranny mount feel great.

Tom,,this may sound petty but how much harder are they,,Ive got the STi short shifter now,and im told the Subaru bushing part #s are the same fr the stock AND the STi short shifter.
How much better would yours be with my setup??
Thanks
Rudy
tom@kartboy 05-12-2004, 06:43 PM i can get the real numbers tomorrow

Joker 13 05-15-2004, 09:18 PM Do you have a shiftknob that will work with the STI 6spd shifter?
tom@kartboy 05-16-2004, 03:03 PM let me see what i can come up with :)
Tom
Joker 13 05-24-2004, 04:38 PM Any word yet on the 6mt knob?
cnstman 05-24-2004, 04:41 PM installed these bushings this weekend. :D i had the bushings in my 5mt wrx also but the 6mt bushings make more of a difference.
about half of the side to side slop is gone. the shifter has a much more solid feel when shifting. worth every penny!!!!

SkirtBoy 06-18-2004, 09:42 PM No knobs for the sti? :(

not just yet. were working on that too :)
but the stock knob will work on our lever
Joker 13 06-19-2004, 02:06 AM Do you guyds amke anything to remove the side to side slop/play in the stock STI stick? It looks like the top bushing is the one that is allowing this to happen. I'd order three right now if you have them.
Also where can I see a pic of the STI lever? Does it do anything for the overall height of the unit?
Fmdeadrick 06-19-2004, 12:27 PM Ours is 1" shorter than stock.

Joker 13 06-20-2004, 01:42 AM So I'm assuming that the answers to my other questions are all no?
