I know it's nearly impossible to answer this question accurately as I'm sure there's a very wide range to the answer. But assuming the car is properly maintained and not absued what sort of range am I looking at?

I came across a somewhat scary quote on the internet a few weeks ago. A Volvo spokesperson said the car buying public needs to be educated that a turbo is a "consumable" thing like tires or brakes or many other parts on a car. They just "wear out". And I was wondering how long they typically last.

i think if you properly maintain your car it should be good for at least 80K miles or even more

I currently have 90k miles on my stock turbo and engine. They seem to still be running strong.

I have had vishnu stage 0 compents since 30k and stage 1 components since 70k.
