so here is the basic problem: I ran an RCA cable into the back of my HU and plugged it into my ipod. I cannot switch the source of my HU to the cd changer setting. I am 99% sure the problem is I need to trick the HU into thinking the CD changer control cord (labeled as DIN in the manual) is plugged in and functioning. what is a din chord and where can I get one? Also: will merely supplying it with 12v of power be sufficient to trick it into thinking a CD changer is connected? If this idea is crap, I also have the ability to use sirius radio... but it uses the same components.

Basically let's you control volume and track navigation throught the CD changer controls of your OEM or aftermarket headunit.

They currently don't have a Panasonic application yet, but according to their site it'll be around $150.

I remember reading that some units can be fooled by playing a CD recoded with silence at the same time... Maybe you can search it up.

damn... so there is no "home-remedy" for fooling the deck? I could care less about having the ability to change tracks and whatnot.

I am not familiar with the IceLink, but $150 is ridiculous...I have the same issue--wanting to connect my ipod to my basic Pioneer HU--and I found a small adapter on the Pioneer website that plugs into the CD changer jack and has an RCA plug on the other end. I got it for about $30...this is usually what companies are referring to when they say their HU has "optional" AUX input.
