Jamie is talking about my westfield ZEi 220. It weighs 741Kg (1633 pounds) and uses a 275BHP Escort Cosworth Turbocharged engine, cosworth gearbox and quaife LSD. The suspension is rose jointed double wishbone with alloy uprights and hubs.
The power/weight ratio is 371BHP/ton.
0-60 in 3.5 seconds and 0-100 in 8 seconds, top speed +150MPH, and it is totally road legal http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/biggrin.gif

Marius 05-04-2000, 05:45 AM That Defino front looks very similar to the front of the new impreza, doesn't it?
It says "employment opportunities" on the delfino homepage.....
Didn't look inside, though. Way too tempting...

Jay_UK 05-05-2000, 02:04 PM Hi guys,
I thought I would pop in, as I havent posted anything for a while...
I spent some time with Richard and Jamie (and the kids).. and what a great time.
I met up with them on the Thursday before Knockhill (showed them the engine to my car - not fitted and some of the mods/pics). They then returned after Knockhill and we all went out for a few drinks.
Then I met up with Jamie on Thursday and took her to Donnington for a track day (Richard eas there in his 22B). Unfortunately my car is ready for any tracks days... so I managed to sort out a few rides for her (in other scoobs).
I think she loved Stef's driving technique.... and Ian's too... Cheers guys (incase you read this).
Some of the cars included:
EVO
Marcos
Scoobs
Skylines
Porsches (including GT race)
Teams were there preparing for the GT race this weekend... so some monty cars were running.
John was there in the kitcar... but had power problems. http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/frown.gif
Anyways... I have now said goodbye to Jamie and Richard.... And I feel empty... I've had a great time.. and I am missing her already. http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/frown.gif
Come back Jamie!!!
J.
johnfelstead 05-05-2000, 03:43 PM just got back from donington track day, i am shatered from the days high speed driving, great fun. http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/biggrin.gif
I took jamie out in the westfield (j, it aint a kit car mate, its a factory built type aproved car like the scoob) before i developed my engine problem so she had 20 laps of donington park international racing circuit at full speed and power. (donington park circuit is the scene of ayton senna's finest race in his F1 McLaren, It was used for the 1993 European F1 Grand Prix and is now heavily used for GT and Grand Prix Motorcycle races, an awesome race track)
We were passing porche 911's for fun, she enjoyed the sight of catching a dodge viper by out acelerating it to 135MPH down the back straight.
We took craner curves, a very daunting series of downhill high speed curves the fastest i have ever done, well in excess of 120MPH, even had a sportscar spin in front of us on our first high speed lap.
My engine lost approx 50BHP when the catalitic convertor just after the turbo melted, it has colapsed internally reducing exhaust gas flow.
I decided to sit out the last couple of runs but stef the cossie killer started to wind me up about kicking my but in a scooby so i had to show him whose boss, even with only 220BHP.
Jamie and I jumped in the westfield and did 2 slow laps to warm the car up and slowed to let stef pass so we could commence battle.
We had 2 fast laps with me up stefs bumper, then the chequered flag came out so we had one "slowing down lap" before coming into the pits. This was spent with myself and jamie laughing like crazy at stef as he chucked his scooby through each corner like he was on a rally stage, totaly sideways. On the last straight i passed him at 130MPH followed by a tight chicane and then into the pits. Some slowing down lap that was, a great end to jamie's time on our UK racetracks, great fun.
Richard had his 22B on track and got much quicker and smoother as the day progressed, donington is very fast and technical, i was impressed with how he learned as his time on track increased.
I even had a drive of his 22B for 6 laps, fantastic car.
I have now said goodbye to richard, jamie and the kids. I am missing them already. Jamie has been a breath of fresh air to me, all the UK scooby guy's love her to bits. Sadly you guys get her back this weekend, i am realy going to miss her, sob, sob. But hey, she'll be back again some time soon hopefully, so we have that to look forward to.
Take good care of "OUR" Subie Gal or there will be trouble, we are only 9 hours away you know http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/wink.gif
Jay_UK 05-06-2000, 02:19 PM Well said...
That Viper was awesome... but nothing matched the marcos though...
John.. I realise yours is a factory built car.. but I still class it as a kit-car... Thats the way I am...
9 hours.... I'll tip the pilot... could be there in 7 then.... http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/smile.gif
I think Donno is one of the best tracks in the UK...
I took our kit-car around Donno and Silverstone a few years back... got it in the newspaper and all....
Nearly rolled it!!! (try that in a seven replica). It got sideways tires gripped hard... and it started to go over.... luckily it came back down onto all fours...
Anyways...Still lonely...
