View Full Version : Subaru videos from Donnington
http://freespace.virgin.net/chris.coulson/scoobytrax.htm
Since there have been a couple posts before about Subaru videos and racing I thought I would post this link. It isn't rally racing but it is the Subaru track events at Donnington in the UK. Hopefully he'll have more out soon.
garapats99 05-01-2000, 02:43 PM the links on that site doesnt seem to work...
Ian Cook 05-01-2000, 03:23 PM Think the reason the links dont work may be my fault, i had them on the SIDC site, but they seem to have disappeared, so will try to get them back for you again.
You can also email the owner of the site and order it straight from him. I wasn't aware the link didn't work anymore. Sorry about that. Ian Cook should be able to fix things though. Hopefully Alex will list it in the links section soon as well.

Lovejoy 05-03-2000, 06:27 AM Could you post the URL for opposite lock.asf again. I can't seem to get it right.
Lovejoy
Anybody want to try and arrange a group buy on the video?
Ian Cook 05-03-2000, 06:29 AM Been trying to get it sorted it should be www.sidc.co.uk/graphics/opposite (http://www.sidc.co.uk/graphics/opposite) lock.asf although i may have to rename it, as the file has a space in the name. the others should be ok.
M a t t 05-03-2000, 07:37 AM N/A, great idea. i would be interested in a gb for scooby vids! i'm not at my personal pc, so i can't e-mail them about it. but i will when i get home.

Black98RS 05-03-2000, 06:32 PM I already posted this info on the other thread called Scoobnuts, but I would be interested in being involved in a group buy but the e-mail reply I got today from Chris Coulson said that the only way for us to get NTSC copies of the video is to order 50. This is the only way Chris can get NTSC copies made (50 at a time), for now only PAL copies are available.
Does anybody think we can get 50 or more people to go in on a group buy on this video?
8Complex 05-03-2000, 08:36 PM Doh! I forgot about that NTSC/PAL thing...
Well let's start up the group buy and see how many people are interested and I'm sure we'll get 50 people if we push it.
Black98RS 05-03-2000, 08:42 PM This might be a dumb thing coming from a so-called Scooby Specialist but how exactly does one go about starting up a group buy?
Would I need to e-mail Chris Coulson first and inform him or our intentions...or just post a new topic thread and see what happens.
N/A - Do you have any input on this...any experience with Chris Coulson and the best way to start this up?
Forgive me for being a naive "Scooby Specialist." http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/wink.gif
I talked to Chris already and he sent me a email to let me know it was going to get worked out for everyone. I pasted it in below. So we should be able to get the videos in the format to work. Chris is a Computer analyst during the day. He only put the video together at first for himself. I don't think he realized the US would be interested in it. Guess he was wrong. I told him I was in for a copy and a copy of his next video (Driving Tactics) taught by a police officer. Since Ian Cook has been around so long and everybody knows him not to shaft people I would take his word for Chris. Chris said that once the format is fixed he will be looking for somebody else to sell them in the US. I thought about Rallispec or SPD. Well for now the messge below is all I have and I have to get back to work. Later.
I'll be contacting a few people in the USA tomorrow about the chance of sending them a master copy of Scooby Trax in order for them to duplicate it and sell it on from there....
Obviously, I've got to be careful about someone copying it 1000 times, and telling me they've only done 10 copies, :-), but I'm sure I'll be able to work it out!
That doesn't immediately solve your problem, but at least it's a start!
Black98RS 05-04-2000, 04:42 PM That sounds great, N/A!
Thanks for contacting Chris.
I will be looking forward to getting my copy of that video. http://208.9.184.67/NonCGI/biggrin.gif
So then how many of us are going to get a copy when he gets the new format for us? I want to give him a rough estimate as to how many to expect to order fromt he start. I was hoping Alex or somebody else could do it as it would not be possible for me to do it from Japan. After he gets somebody to sell them we can move this to the classifieds section.
M a t t 05-04-2000, 09:08 PM me, i'll go after both vids. n/a. mabey start a new topic in the classifieds.
RallyGuy2k 05-04-2000, 09:22 PM I'm in for a GB...
