Alright, i have searched and have found most info pertains to 2.5rs's and wrx's. I want to start compiling a list of parts i need to gether in order to do this. I am keeping the 2.2L engine, but owuld like a manual tranny(it is awd already). PReferably a sti-ra with the front lsd, upgraded 20kg center diff, and rear suretrack lsd with the 4.44 final drive. But will probably end up with an rs box+rear lsd or a wrx box with ra gearset and rear lsd. I know i need

tranny
rs/wrx pedal box
pedals
clutch and flywheel
shift linkage(not sure about specifics, years, etc)
rs/wrx driveshaft(manual)
i know i need some sort of clutch cylinder/slave
new interior trim piece
shift knob
shifter
clutch hydralic line or cable
axels?
rear wheel hubs?
shift boot
rs cluster(digital speedo/odo vs analog)

i dunno if the obd 1 cars had different ecus for an auto and manual . What else, in complete detail would i need?

AT cars have a TCU also, so does'nt that suggest that to convert to MT you'd want to change out the TCU & ECU for an ECU from a MT car of the same year? or can you use the stock brain w/o the TCU?

im not sure whether you need to remove the TCU or not but on my Legacy, you can wire the auto ECU so it acts like a manual ECU.

i know you'd need relays for the neutral/parking postion...but what else? what exactly is a relay anyways?
