Hey guys,

The new downpipes feature fully polished cast-bellmouth with option to install wide-band 02 sensor for monitoring. These downpipes are compatible with both the 5spd WRX and the 6spd STI.

am I retarded or is there no stock o2 sensor bung on this pipe.. I didn't see it at first glance but now I think I kinda see it on the back side near the cat back end.. but I'm not sure..

Just wanna be sure..

Anyone wanna buy my invidia so I can get this piece w/ my WBo2 bung already in it?

mustgofast - The stock O2 bung is still in place. Kind of hard to see at this angle. Helix has just provided another bung for you guys that run a wide band.

Thanks

Very nice!

How far is the bung from the turbo? At least 8 inches?
Also, how's the fitment in STI?

You should make one to fit both STOCK catback or aftermarket for STI! (Taper it to match stock midpipe with donut gasket please)..

02WRX_BLUE - The bung is actually about 3" away from the turbine outlet. There was some discussion about this issue with us and the Japan-side engineers. They strongly believe that because of the significant length in the manifold / uppipe placing the sensor here is not a problem. This coupled with the fact that placing the 02 sensor farther downstream makes installation extremely difficult, the decision was made to place the bung where it is at. I have been running the Tech Edge WB02 (Bosch sensor) for about 6 months and over 10K miles of hard driving, and the sensor response is both still accurate and rapid (relative to Dyno a/f sensor).

Cheers,

Gary

The downpipe arrived yesterday and was the V3. The downpipe looks high quality. Thanks again.

I'm getting a leak at the top of the flange mating to a stock catback (Prodrive axleback). I know some other people have had this problem and I really would like to avoid having to purchase a 75mm catback. Does anyone have any suggestions to resolve this? I tried doubling up the gaskets but as expected that didn't do the trick.

Max, If I end up purchasing a 75mm catback would it be possible to get some type of special pricing for a package type of deal? I'm a bit low on budget for now but I really don't want to drive around with a leak. :(

Bump for a solution as I was looking to use a helix downpipe with my stock STi catback.

If I were to order one off of your site tomorrow, would it be the V3 or the previous version? Let me know so I can get one ordered.

Not to hijack a vendor thread, but.
I have the Invidia on my STi and needed to add a gasket to stop the leak. With the stock catback the flange is narrow at the top and bottom because it relies on the donut gasket to seal. I used some thick 1/8 ? composite bulk gasket material and made additional gakets to reinforce the thin area. Sorry if my description isn't helpful but it's working for me.
Bump for a great product and vendor.

lstepnio - Sure... no problem offering a turboback package price for a catback :)

2jz-gte - Usually installation difference account for whether or not the DP work well with the stock catback or not... we can't guarantee perfect fitment with the stock catback unless we install it ourselves of course, but it can be done ;)

Rizzo314 - All new orders will be V3 :)

sc00by71 - Thanks for the input :)

Thanks
