Yeah, we converted over to Fedex shipping... All products shipped are based on weight and destination now, versus set rates anywhere in the US... :(

You could've gone w/ a USPS flat rate priority mail envelope (no wt limit) and saved us 5 bucks.

For all the complaints I got for having flat rates per item, I never thought I'd hear anyone complaining about me moving over to Fedex's rates. I know how much it costs to send one USPS, but I do not have a working setup to incorporate USPS or flat rate as well as Fedex into the Site... lessor of 2 evils... :(

Sorry. The old system was $40 + 5 shipping (45 shipped). It was documented earlier and updated to reflect the changes in the shipping system we use, to be more accurate. I'm almost willing to be that if you used the cart, shipping would be equal to or cheaper then it was before...

I'm wondering how the stock one installs. Is it glued to the floor? Is it screwed into the floor board? Are there plastic attachments between the carpet and dead pedal?

I'd like to buy the one you are offering and put my wife's dead pedal in my Maxima.

The stock is apart of the carpet and uses fasteners to keep it in place.

There are 2 ways to install our Dead Pedals.

1. Installing using the stock fasteners with the vinyl spacers

2. Glue it down

I experimented with a couple of ideas but certain practical and safety issues prevented me from ever mass-producing or marketing a heel-toe addition to the throttle pedal.

Thus, unfortunately, tere are no production plans for a modified throttle pedal. Heel-toeing stock pedals is not too bad, just takes a little practice;) . I do it all the time. Just stick with it and you'll be able to heel-toe smoothly in no time!

I was close to dropping a piece of aluminum into the laser cutter at work one weekend and just let it cut until Monday. But after seeing the quality on these pedal, I almost felt they are worth the $40 buck.

I am a little unclear on this....do these come with new plastic clippy things to hold them to the floor? I took my dead pedal out to screw with the stereo and lost it and the plastic things that hold it in place.

They packaging does not include new OEM clips. It comes with the Pedal, rubber spaces, instructions and a cleaning pad. You can install the pedal without using the OEM plastic clips.

Dunno.. I had a bugeye in '02, I had it till about '04. Somewhere in that time, I got a dead pedal.. It was pretty sweet then, and I'm happy to get another one.

We've been having some problems with the cURL modules and I think I have it sorted out.

If you want the PayPal special, don't use the website. Just paypal us straight (sales@kastleskorner.com) with a note in the comments section that it's for a Dead Pedal.

The deal is just a straight payment via Paypal rather then going through the website and getting nailed with Fedex shipping rates. Shipped via the PayPal deal is $42 anywhere in the continental US.
