So I have decided to swap the 2.0 '98 wrx motor for my 2.2 SOHC. The total cost will be 4,000, which sounds good the new motor only has 43,000 km on it. It comes with the ecu and everything. Just want to know what kinds of things to look out for, and if my excedy flywheel and clutch will work with the new motor. Thanks for the feedback.

sorry if im hijacking your thread here.. but i had a question for those who have done this swap. after you do the swap and get it ok'd by the smog ref's does your insurance company still see the car as what it was to begin with? like if i swapped a WRX engine into my RS would my insurance charge me for an RS or for a WRX? thanks. and sorry again if im hijacking the thread :-/

What is included with the engine?...any drivetrain stuff? if you are using your old tranny then your flywheel and clutch will still be used.

actually the price seems a little high ..
