I've got a 95 impreza l awd with the 1.8l engine. This summer though my friend who has a 97 legacy gt wants to get an sti engine and sell me his gt engine (its the 2.5 w/o turbo). I am really a novice in this stuff and basicly want to know how much extra stuff I will need to buy in order to make this work. I have friends who will probley help me out with most the work but none of them are really subaru specialist. btw both of us have the 5 spd and not the auto so since I read an article on putting a sti engine in mine I don't think the tranmission will be any problem. any comments or suggestions would be appreciated on this.
