How would I convert The transmission of a 2.5 RS to reverse the out put?

Could I just rotate the diff, 180 degrees, like in a VW? I would use an electric oil pump to keep up the flow of oil.

I don't see any possibility of doing this. AWD is totally different than your VW experience. And why would you want to, just out of curiousity?

trying to mount the engine mid or rear i'm assuming... do you need to turn the engine around? i figure it'd be easier to just keep it in the same direction... much easier to do the axles that way.

Yeah I'm puting a EJ25 in my 69 VW bug, and was thinking of using the 5speed tranny. Posibly in the future converting to AWD.:D
