I am considering getting 17"s for my 04 wagon in the next couple of months. I have 2 questions:

1. How much of an increase in harshness can I expect (with All Season, not summer tires in 215/45/17 or 225/45/17)
2. How much of a loss of dirt capability can I expect? The car sees some entertaining dirt roads during the summer.

I am considering BBS RGR's(which I understand will require 225's as they are 17 x7.5,) Subaru B4 17x7's, EDM 17"s and Rota Tarmac II's. I had all but decided on the RGR's but then I realized I might have to roll the fenders and deal with more ride harshness, so I am not sure. Brake fitment is not a factor.

Any thoughts?

you'll notice an increase in harshness, but not bad at all when running stock suspension.

I think you'll be fine on the dirt roads unless you lower it (saw your other thread...)
