Just noticed metal showing on the inside front left of my 215/45/17 Falken fk451s @ roughly 10000 miles. I'm an aggressive driver and the alignment has been off for awhile (was waiting until I could take off my awful ADR DV8s)...so I bought a new combo.
Rota Actions 17x7.5 Flat Black from SubyDude, and 235/40/17 Falken fk451 from discounttiredirect. Got the 235 because they were out of 225/45 and I need 'em quick. Guy was cool on the phone and reassured me that rubbing issues shouldn't crop up. I'm lowered on Hotchkis Street Coils which aren't very low. I'm getting them mounted at an alignment shop so that takes care of that.
Wondering how the 235 on a 7.5 inch rim will work. They'll bulge a bit, but I bet it wont matter at all. Talking like a quarter inch max....I bet someone knows exactly.
I'm working on figuring out the differences between the diameter and sidewall heights from 215/45 to 235/40, but if someone has their math hat on feel free to post it. Thanks.
