Well its time for the second oil change, rotate tire, and brake cleaning. no subaru wants to charge me $170 buck to rotate the tires and clean the brake. now my question is is this something i can do my self and if so what needs to be done

Sounds like a dealer that has too many maintenance/service add-ons. At your second oil change, I believe all you need is an oil change and maybe rotation. It's not a bad idea to get your brakes cleaned and checked but, you can have it done a lot cheaper at a tire or brake shop. I once complained about noisy brakes to a dealer so he checked them and cleaned them under warranty.

Go to the autoparts store by a can of "brakleen" and spray'em down, thats about all the dealer will do if your lucky.

Seriously, if you really wanna clean your brakes, pick up a $5 can of brake cleaner. That stuff gets rid of anything, & it smells good too! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/rolleyes.gif

Knowing how a few dealers operate (ex-shop supervisor at Chrysler) I would mark the original location of the rims subtley to be sure they do actually get rotated!
