I've done it, only with a 03 jdm sedan and a legacy. You might be somewhat better off since you have an impreza with wider fender wells, but mines is super tight.
It's so tight that the wheels that i want to put on there will stick out past the fender, so then you have to run a huge offset. Since you're running a huge offset that puts your wheel back in and kinda makes me wonder if it was really worth it.
Not to mention there's really not that many wheels that offer a big enough offset that clear the brembos i have too.
