For those of you with camber plates/coilovers. What did you set as the "zero" camber. In other words with your camber plates on the center what is your static camber? Recommendations/Advice?

I've got the Tein RA's set at Tein's recommended ride height. With the camber plates at zero I've got about 2.5 degrees negative. This seems to be a bit much on the street.

How do you figure it's a "bit much"? Are you getting abnormal tire wear? Darty steering or instability under braking?

FWIW toe settings have a much more drastic effect on tire wear, especially for daily driving. For instance, when I had 1* of neg camber on my car and 1/4" of toe out, I had horrendous wear on the inside shoulder of my front tires. Now with 2.8* neg camber and zero toe I get great wear, and more importantly, great wear at events.

Just the usual tire wear - slight bias towards the inside -- really no big deal. A little dartiness due to tramlining Azenis in street work zones -- again no big deal.

I was curious what people used as their "base" camber setting, before "tweaking" camber at events.

-2.5 usually works out ok if you do a lot of city driving, take corners pretty hard, and run 0 toe.

tweaking camber at the event can be problematic, since it will also change the toe.

I think on the WRX/STI the toe goes more out as you add camber, which may work out ok in the front. 0 toe for the street and slight outward toe for autocrossing is probably what you want anyway.

Yes, yes it does.

I had my Camberplates set to 'street' and we adjusted toe and was like great, 1/8 toe out. Then I saw that the camber was not in the right spot....

We maxed the camber, and it turned to about 3/4" toe out.
