I've had my WRX a month and got a windseild crack the other day:mad: - it is not in the line of vision. There is no way I can get it fixed before the first auto x of the season (tomorrow)- will it pass tech?

If you just tell them that you just got it the other day and plan to have it fixed ASAP, and that it's out of the line of sight, you should be fine. Noone even said anything to me about the crack in mine when I autox'd last year, and it's 4' long across the bottom of the windshield.

I'm on my 3rd windshield and never had aproblem passing tech. I had one that went from the pass lower corner all the way to the just to the right of the steering wheel 6" above the bottom, and the 2nd cracked one was from about the center of the pass seat on the bott over towards the same area.

Track days they'll care, but autox usually won't in my experience.

Windshields sure are easy to crack eh?

Mine is a wierd crack- its near the mirror and actually has 3 cracks to it. Should be fixed by mid week.

put a BIG KARTBOY sticker over the crack :)

depends how lax they are in your area. i've seen some pretty crappy cars pass tech no prob.
