I have an 01 RS, with an ej20t swap-lots of STI and cusco parts and 4.44 gears, and am wondering what tire pressure to use. I have s03's and am thinking maybe 38-40 in front and 40-42 in rear. What do you think?

Grip is proportional to pressure and, as the scooby is nose heavy and very prone to understeer, you want to make sure you have as much grip up front as poss. Keep the front 2-5 pounds higher than the rear (unless you are taking your buddies to the golf course and have 4 sets of clubs in the trunk, when you need extra to stop the overloaded rear washing out). HoRo1 04-25-2004, 04:23 PM I hopr that the numbers you give us are for HOT pressures. The tires will feel better on higher pressures, with less sidewall flex, but when they are too high grip will fade. |
