If you don't mind changing plugs every 10k miles or so, just get the NGK coppers (BKR7E model 6097). They're cheap at less than $2/each, come in a very close gap to stock, and arguably offer the best perfomance.

I have Denso Iridiums IK22. Took about 2 hours to install, but they are a great plug. Car runs much smoother and I get hella better gas milage. I got mine off of Ebay for $56 to my door.

Of course, maybe the plugs that you replaced were fouled or something. If they were bad you'd notice a big difference. I don't think the plugs will differ that much in power. I really mentioned the copper plugs because they're cheap and have the right gap.

You wont see any gains with the copper/lower heat range plugs UNLESS you are running much more boost then stock, OR your old plugs are shot.

And FWIW the Iridiums are NOT worth the money, many people find they give misfire...
