I got a basic map for stage 4 plus FMIC and it boost about 10psi till 5K rpm's and from there it opens up to whatever I set it.

Feels like a two stage nitrous system:lol:

Are your parameters set correctly? Double check them.

Got a log to share?

Leo: If you can, take screen shots of the hyperterminal windows on all the seperate parameter submenus for me, as well as page one and two of your boost map in question.

Thanks bud!

Thanks!

I will but I need to find a laptop to hook up!

It was a Stage 4 map that was kinda modded to work with FMIC.

Since we have no AWD dyno here, everything is road tunned.

One thing I forgot to mention is that boost is controlled by a Profec-B Spec 2 (the old one)

hahahaha... well that has nothing to do with the UTEC then ;)

weird

with the profec on or off it does it. could it have something to do WITH the Utec not being mapped at all with the VF34? Like it spools up but when the 5k rpm's come in, it spins the turbo as it should?

I might just replace the Profec with the TXS MBC to see what happens.

The tunner will tune it on tuesday but it's just driving me wild till then cuz I love how it feels above 5K:devil:

Sounds like your running of wastegate spring pressure. This basically means that the boost control device isn't venting enough air from the wastegate actuator vacuum tubes. This makes it so the wastegate opens automatically. You might wanna look into hooking the boost control and boost control hoses up correctly. If you're running the utec for boost control like you should be since it can be dialed in better for use with the utec(imo), you might wanna do a search on "brass restrictor". If everything's hooked up correctly, try to get your boost controller to vent a lot more air from the vacuum tubing then it's venting right now.

Is the brass restrictor the one that is close to the turbo outlet port? Lithe the one inside the hose? I took that off when switching hoses. Shoould I put it back on?

I'll check the hose connections.

So, should be in place or not? Can that be the whole problem?

Just checked all the hosing and nothing seems to be wrong.
