This is a shot in the dark, but I remenber reading about this somewhere (not here) before. I believe it was on a Porsche so I know it exists, although I have absolutely no idea how much it costs.
My mom just got a convertible and I'm trying to locate an alarm system or sensor that will automatically raise the top and close the windows if she leaves the car open and it begins to rain.
Thanks

An Alpine radar sensor would absolutely notice rain, and it could be configured to fire a remote trigger in addition to sounding the siren and flashing the lights. This remote trigger would make the power top close.
My wife's Miata has an Alpine 8063.

This is kind of OT, but ... has anybody seen/tried something like this with a sunroof? Here in Georgia, during the summers, it'll rain cats and dogs (and whatever other pets that happens to be around) w/o warning!
Are there anyother solutions to the unfortunate greenhouse effect!

I have a Viper Alarm from my Miata that I sold in 1998, and the radar sensor would detect the rain and chirp, causing me to run outside and put the top up.
I wonder if you want to buy it and try to wire that into raising the top automatically?
