SUBARU WRX CUSTOM MADE LCD 7" WIDESCREEN. (these are available for all years imprezas 1998 and up, ALSO WRX and STi, the New Scion XB/XA, Nissan 350Z, and 2G Eclipse/Talon DSMs (95-99)).
A high quality (OEM SHARP Brand) lcd screen is used that is mounted behind a trimmed and bordered glass plate, the plate is then securely glued onto the radio bezel creating a unit that looks like it was a factory option. We will require your radio bezel be sent to me along with payment.
When We receive your radio bezel, we will install the glass frame and lcd monitor as well as fully test and adjust all settings. The screen has 1 video input, and a wireless remote for all of the screen adjustments.
Turn around time will be 1.5 - 2 weeks.
The radio can now be mounted on top of the dash using the Factory Subaru Pack Housing which can be purchased at any Subaru Dealer (Part # H0010FE920OE).

glass is needed for a cleaner look and to preserve the screen.

No touchscreen is available but it will work w\ nav systems.

just out of curiosity, do most single din dvd players have some sort of screen saver? please forgive me but im a sucker for eye candy sometimes so if they do, then it'll be a plus. :)

ive never been much into electronics, so i dont know all about this kinda stuff. What types of things could you use this with, obviously DVDs, and you mentioned nav systems, anything else? any kind of diagnostic equip for your engine? stuff like that?

you can also buy something like the HKS camp system which shows alot of differenct gauges like boost and stuff

what does the ride thing to that is on the left of the bezel? in the first pic it isn't there but on the other 2 it is... If i buy the gauge thing so i can mount my headunit in there, is this hard to do? or do i have to custom fab it a little bit.. thanks...

i was kinda wondering about the camp thing, i didnt know if when you bought that it came with the screen or anything, i think i may def do this soon.

my screen seems to be doing great right now. looks great. I have a ps2 running into it. Works for movies and games...though xbox is better for that. Hopefully I'll have a camp system running through it soon so I can light up the screen more than once every 3 weeks.

Matt, I just switched rides from a 02 WRX to a 04 STi.

are there ways to angle the screns ? do they come pre-angled ?are they flush with bezel ? what cage modifications are nessicery ?

Hi,

All you need to send is the radio bezel. The screen mounts flush and there is no need for it to be angled as I use a special LCD panel design to be viewed from above.

Cage Modification? You mean the top housing for the radio? The radio should bolt right in without any modding.

I haven't had any problem with viewing angles (it's flush with/just behind the bezel). Can see it perfectly from drivers seat. Had a passenger watching a video on it once too, and there was no need to lean in at all. I'm 6'0, so I look down on it a little bit too.

I'm pretty happy with the turnout, although I am having a hell of a time finding an auxiliary input cable for the reciever I purchased (for my xbox!).

Matt is a great guy too. He gave me a .99 cent DVD of Going Back to Bali (or whatever movie it was). Thanks Matt! :lol:

As you can see, the installation is pretty much perfect. I can't imagine it looking any nicer even if it was designed by Subaru! One of my friends even commented, he thought it was going to look kind of shabby since it was "aftermarket". But, he was so jealous when he saw it, he threatened to steal my car! :lol:

I can say they have a great picture my friend Jon has one and I watched a movie in his car and that thing is nice and clear. And another guy here had a camp hooked up to it so I guess it can be done. I'll try to find a picture of him running his camp through it.

so how are you playing videos? on a playstation or xbox? and if you have that where are you mounting them? i'd like to buy this but i have the head unit pictured and it doesn't play dvds( the cd player in the first post) so i would have to hoop up the ps2

ok im very interested! but what exactlyyyyy is this for? does this act strictly as a tv screen or dvd?? games and movies or sumthing? can this screen control the radio? cuz i need the top din for sumthing else... therefore nowhere else for radio and cd player. so what exactlyyy can this screen perform?

All it is is a screen with 1 video input. So you could play anything on it that has a video output (i.e. DVD, pretty much any game system, VCR, TV tuner, ect.) It will not control your radio.

well, I was getting these but I got some Defis where the HU would go. ANy other place to mount the HU?

I am ready to order mine. But first 2 questions

Can my child in the center of the back seat in a child seat see the screen clearly, thats the main reason for her to watch movies on trips.
Secondly, are there any reasonably priced head units that play dvds and have a video output? crutchfield carries RF and pioneer in a reasonable price but i would prefer to own neither.

if I went with the recommended pioneer unit, what would the screen display when i am playing music and radio? Other than watching a move, what will the screen display?

i have this screen set-up!! it's fitment is excellent!...i'll take pics of it once i wipe it down a little more....uhh...what do you recommend to clean the screen with so I don't scratch the heck out of it?? thanks!

BTW, Dynaispeed is no longer a vendor and does not carry my screens.
