drunkguy 05-01-2004, 10:06 PM for the ALK, whats the difference between the 3 ?
I take it its gonna be a stiffness issue with the bushings....
anything other than that?
Also, didn't see the race one listed on the site anywhere.
Thanks,
-Chris
StarDogChampion 05-02-2004, 03:02 AM did the Whiteline taller front strut tower bar come in yet? its not on the website to buy, so should i just call to order?
thanks.
Krelkor 05-02-2004, 10:08 AM do the whiteline front and rear sway fix the GC8?
od you have any adjustable fronts?
chahny 05-03-2004, 02:54 PM Mike,
are the Whiteline steering bushings part #KSR202?
SpeedElement 05-03-2004, 03:48 PM drunkguy - Basically yes the bushings get stiffer as you go up the range, I don't think the web guy has got the Motorsports version on the site yet as we only got a couple of them in last week.
StarDogChampion - No they had an issue with the bars (sways too) and they left on Thursday last week and should be here Wednesday.
Krelkor - No they don't only years 02-04 available right now, I think we have some coming on this shipment arriving this week although no adjustable front bars.
chahny - Yes they are although we also have the KSR200 instock as well if needed.

gsgleason 05-11-2004, 02:21 PM i have a my01 2.5 RS sedan. will the whiteline strut tower brace fit without having to mess with any AC stuff?
Also, is your web server down?
StarDogChampion 05-11-2004, 05:40 PM i had no problem with the whiteline stb on my 01 RS with stock air box. if you use a aftermarket "J" tube intake, it might hit. I had that problem when i used a aem intake.
Whiteline heavy duty sway bar mounts $75
I am interested in this item but I am not sure which one to order for my WRX Cusco rear bar. Also, what is included? Bushings?
Thanks.
TygerStile 05-12-2004, 09:12 PM Do you have the Whiteline Race ALK in stock? I didnt see them on the site...
Sly_dE 05-13-2004, 12:59 AM PM'd ya but also wondered if you have the whiteline strut bar for the old style imprezas too....thanks.
EDIT: rear strut bar that is
SpeedElement 05-15-2004, 06:38 PM MINO - The regular 22mm ones will work for you. The package includes mounts and bushings for the sway bar.
TygerStile - Yes we do have it instock but for some reason we have yet to get it onto the website, I will speak to the web guy on Monday and see if I can get it added.
Sly_dE - Not instock but we have some coming in.

impr25rs 05-21-2004, 02:38 AM Do you have the Whiteline front sway bar for an 04 RS?
chrislehr 05-21-2004, 11:46 AM Price for Stoptech slotted for front brakes on an 03 with stock calipers?
SpeedElement 05-21-2004, 12:45 PM gills - I would recommend using the Whiteline 14mm camber bolts, the are a perfect fit and seem to work better than the generic bolts we have used in the past.
impr25rs - Not instock at this time but we can add it to one of our orders (we don't seem to get many requests for them).
chrislehr - For slotted only rotors for a 03 it would be $190 shipped.

Whiteline:
1. Front strut tower bar
2. Rear strut tower bar
3. Rear sway bar
4. Front sway bar
HReiter 05-22-2004, 12:58 PM MIke,
Quick question - for the '04 wagon, the rear sway is 17mm I believe and the front I do not know. What is the typical after market setup that would work for changing both front and rear bars while improving the overall handling? Some folks have told me to leave the front alone and I also see that some bars say they do not fit the front wagon so your expertise would be appreciated.
thanks
Howard

Did you new Whiteline order come in yet?
casualsurfer 05-23-2004, 02:01 AM Just placed an order for Whiteline Comfort ALK and steering bushings. Hope they're in stock :D
TygerStile 05-23-2004, 04:04 AM I still dont see the Whiteline Race ALK on the site. Are you guys open for local pickup?
eclip5e 05-26-2004, 01:24 AM Do you have the 22mm 3-way adjustable Cusco rear that fits the 04WRX?
SpeedElement 05-26-2004, 01:34 PM bliu - I do not have a specific mileage rating but I will ask the question and post the response.
BlackAndBlue - Sorry we do not have that bar at this time, it would be special order and take 2-4 weeks for us to get.
dorifto88 - We can get you some if you need them Mikey..
CrAzEx - I will PM you a quote this afternoon.
HReiter - Whiteline makes front bars specific to segan or wagon, Cusco front bars will fit both. Typically we recommend swapping out the rear bar first and seeing where that leaves you as you may find that does the job for you without having to spend the extra $$ on the front bar. I would go for the 20-24mm adjustible on the wagon with a set of endlinks and seeing as it's a 04 keep with the stock mounts (way better on the 04 than the 02/03 cars).
StarDogChampion - We got a partial shipment but no bigger TMIC front bars on this one, I will press for an ETA this afternoon.
casualsurfer - Already shipped out :)
TygerStile - Sorry the website is a little behind us right now, we are open Tuesday through Saturday 10am - 7pm.
eclip5e - Sorry at this time we don't.

how much would it be? 150?
Silva_Wagon 05-27-2004, 11:01 AM Mike,
I'm intersted in the Noltec camber plate F/R combo you have, but is there a way to use this in the rear w/ '04 STi springs? The front I know works with the stock upper spring perch, but what happens with the rear, as IIRC the top hat/spring perch is all one peice. Thanks!
SpeedElement 05-28-2004, 01:26 PM BlackAndBlue - Yes it would be $150.
Silva_Wagon - I have never tried to fit the rears on a 04 but if the existing spring perch could not be used them a set of 02/03 springs and perch should do the trick and be readily available. I will look into this somemore today as we have a couple of 04's here being worked on and one is a coilover swap so I should be able to work something out.

oli2.5RS 06-06-2004, 05:02 PM Would the Cusco (OS type I assume) front strut bar get in the way of my AEM intake on my '00 RS?
SpeedElement 06-09-2004, 12:35 PM Silva_Wagon - Sorrry as of yet we have not managed to get a 04 set out of a car to test with, it's only a matter of time though before we do :)
bliu - No definitive although we have a couple of cars rolling around locally with over 50K on them with no problems. I don't have a part number for the bushings on there own but have requested pricing all the same.
Schlogen - Emailed you :)
oli2.5RS - To be honest it's not something we have tried so I could not say one way or the other for sure.

WL Flatout 06-16-2004, 07:48 PM G'day everyone,
bliu, just thought I'd jump in and help Mike out here with the question on ALK bush durability. We don't have a mileage life number because quite frankly we've never had a set wear out.
We'd like to evaluate and test your old set if you feel that its got a problem and will happily give you a replacement pair if you can help us out by sending your old ones back to us. The only time we have seen eccessive wear was when we used a road spec bush on Brett Middletons (MRT's) rally car for a full season. Otherwise its a non issue in our experience.
Depending on the orginal ALK spec used, we do have part numbers for the replacement bushes (suit current gold extruded mount design). All are supplied as a kit of 2x new bushes, 2x new tubes and grease;
W0562 ALK BUSH KIT-NORMAL 80D (60319WLE)
W0563 ALK BUSH KIT-COMFORT 70D (60319WLE-70)
Let me know directly if you'd like to go ahead along with the original part number you bought. We'll get your old bushes analysed and let you know if there was a problem.
Cheers
Jim Gurieff
Whiteline
Mike,
Thanks for referring Jim to this thread!
Jim,
First of all, thank you for the offer to do testing on my bushings. I think I might have mixed up the mileage rating on something. (Do either your rear endlinks or rear diff bushings have mileage ratings?) The thought of having to remove/reinstall the ALK is nothing that I look forward to! ;)
I was mainly asking about the bushings because I've been getting a rattling-type noise when going over bumps with the steering wheel turned in recent months. Perhaps it's more due to the lack of grease in the bushings than the wear of the bushings. (Again, me thinking there was a mileage rating on the bushings.) I suppose I will crawl under the car and grease them up and see what happens then. I didn't really notice any NVH when I first installed the ALK (despite everybody else saying there was!) and perhaps my luck with the grease has now run out. :)
Thanks again for the offer, Jim. You've always been here to answer the questions and keep us customers happy. :D Keep up the good work!

majmun 06-18-2004, 02:45 AM Mike,
Can you give me a shipped price for the Whiteline steering and differential bushings ('04 STi) to 85213?
Thanks,
Tom.
WL Flatout 06-21-2004, 01:41 AM Hey Brian,
Thanks for the positive commenst, pleased to be of service :D .
Its highly unlikely that it needs regreasing or that the rattling you're experiencing is due to the ALK bush unless its totally collapsed. But, to do that it would have happened within the first few thousand miles.
I'd suspect something quite different, rattles with steering on lock would suggest either the rack itself or CV joints. The rack itself could be worn, the tie rod ends or the simply the rack support bushes if they've been contaminated with oil. Also, look at the swaybar links.
Hope that helps.
Best
Jim

G'day Psydotek,
The 'Heavy duty steering rack mount kit' for the MY03-04 is Part # KSR202.
To assist in identifying the correct parts for your car (and other info) we have published Fact Sheets that can be used as a useful guide to the more common products and suggested alignment figures etc.
These Fact Sheets can be found here:
MY94-00 http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/fact_sheets/ck_wrx94.pdf

I trust the above is of assistance :)
