Subaru special tools can be purchased from SPX Kent-Moore, ph#: 800-345-2233. A catalog of subaru specific tools is also available, catalog #: SU02-223. About 60 pages, with line art drawings, description, ST number, and vehicle application. Catalog does not have pricing.

Some tools are not listed (ie wheel bearing seal installer PN: J-45697-10), which might be generic.

As you have guessed, these are not cheap. The tools listed in the wheel bearing service bulletin run about $400. Quality is pretty good (wheel bearing stuff anyways), with a black oxide finish.

Does that mean dealers are finally servicing the 6MT? There were multiple threads about having them sent back to SoA for service, but I never saw anything about dealers working on them.

No, the training program has not been rolled out nor taught to anyone as of yet. The 6MT's still have to go to NJ for servicing.
