Do any of you turbo owners ever hear a popping sound in the exhaust? Its ever so quiet if you have heard it. Slight rev and release at idle, like a back fire, or a "rich pop."

Also, has anyone put an STi intercooler on their Baja? Or tried? Fit?

I have never heard that on mine, unless you are refering to the turbo blow-off, but I assume you would know the difference.

Maybe it was just a fluke. I only heard it once, it was kinda cool actually. We had just returned from a trip and while the family was piling out, I revved alittle(1500?), and heard a douple pop from the muffler area when the engine was deceling. Of course I tried it again and it didn't happen. Maybe it was just the muffler cooling off, but it definately sounded like a slight back fire or the pop and crackle you get sometimes when the exhaust is loaded with some unburnt fuel. Oh well.

I heard my 2003 make a backfire noise when I had it in like first or maby it was second gear. Anyways I had it at around 5k rpms and I heard 3 backfires (deacceleration). After that never heard them again.
