I was looking to get the brospeed muffler but wanted a 2.25 mid instead of the 2 that comes with it. Would it be difficult or stupid even to say for example get the stromung (sp) mid and use them together. Keep in mind I know nothing about exhausts. thanx

That's a good question. My bet is that they wouldn't match up.

I have the stromung rear section muffler and it bolts right to the stock mid pipe, I would think if got you the mid pipe it would fit exactly to the rear muffler without a problem. But I am not an expert, its just my guess

Just go to a muffler shop and have them bend you some piping. They'll make sure it fits and it'll run you about $80 or so from the canister-back.
