Tirerack recomends 225-45-17 for the 17x7 BBS RK. I thought 215s would be more appropriate for a 7" wheel with 48 offset when used on an 02 wagon. Anyone with RKs and 225s?

I have the 17 x 7 BBS RK's wheels with 225/45 tires. This was a dealer option. I also was told by Tire Rack while researching some new tires that this was the correct size tire for that wheel size. Although, Subaru recomends a 215/45 tire with a 17" wheel.

The 225 tire does look a little too big for that wheel but I have never had any rubbing issues in 2+ years.

I think a 215 wide tire would look ideal on a 7 " wheel and a 225 wide tire would look ideal on a 7.5" wide wheel.

FWIW, I am purchasing 215/45 tires since I'm planning to lower my wagon.
