From what I hear the ACT street clutch should hold 10lbs of boost and is a smooth ingaging clutch that you can feather if needed. This is what I'm looking for, I know what TMR's Impreza feels like and I believe he is running the Racing clutch. What other choices are there??

Minnam Racing sells the RPS turbo clutch for the Impreza. I have no experience with it, however, and I can't seem to find anyone who does.

I think I would be reluctant to get something without knowing anything about it! I think I will be going with the ACT street clutch still. .

i have the ACT clutch. but havent put it in yet. i'm waiting for my stock clutch to die, or until i get a lighter/stronger flywheel. I asked them if that clucth is ok for everyday and commuter driving. they said no prob. we'll see.

I think I'm the only one around who pimps Clutchmaster's Stage-3. I had a Stage-4 puck type clutch that tore my transmission apart...I asked them to convert it to a Stage-3 while the tranny was under repair and they did it and overnighted it back for $120...excellent service. The kevlar stage-3 chatters a little in first gear, but feels smooth, almost like stock afterwards and has enough grip to hold power but not shock the drivetrain. I broke mine in by slipping it a lot. The service manager at the local Subaru Dealership (West Houston) took it for a spin and loved it. Trey Cobb commented that it almost felt stock.
There's my info. Do with it what you will. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

There is the Excedy Clutch from the HKS turbo RS. But there is scant data on it...
I just recently drove Kartboys RS and he has the ACT clutch and pressure plate. This is what I can say about it:
It takes more pressure, try twice more, to push the clutch pedal to the floor. In other words it feels like a real clutch. After I got back in my own RS, the clutch felt like the gas pedal. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif
Engagement was smooth and precise. It did not have the "on" "off" effect of a 3 or 4 puc plate. Feathering was really nice. No shudder or slip.
I like it! The difference between the stock clutch and the ACT is like night and day.
Ok, I have to go now and collect my money from ACT for this review.....oops! Forget I said that..... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/eek.gif
