Can I install the WRX Steering wheel myself, or do I need expert help?????

I hae almost done every mod myself which is very important to me!

But I don't want to screw around with the airbag and all, so to those who have them, can you tell me how you did it?

Thanx

It is easy. Disconnect the battery and pull the ABS fuse (just in case) and unbolt the airbag assy from the steering wheel with a star tool. Unplug it. Put the new one in. Put the star bolts back in and reconnect everything.

This is what I did and it worked out good. Remember that you always should be careful when working with ABS.

ABS? What does the ABS have to do with the steering wheel/air bag? I guess you mean SRS (a.k.a. the air bag) http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

I just pull the horn fuse to install the wheel. I've made many adjustments to the centering while only having the horn fuse pulled (don't want to hear the horn while turning the torx bolt). The airbag hasn't gone off in my face yet http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif Anyhow, when you get that 17mm bolt off, to pull the wheel, shake and pull vigorously. It'll eventually pop loose. You don't have to be friendly to it.
