So I guess $39,000 would be considered an unrealistic offer?

:( sorry to hear you're letting go of her so soon!

Anyways - free bump for you!

I had quite a few chats with Joe at Total and he seemed to treat his Sti with respect. I remember he said that the first "mod" he did was to tint the windows to avoid getting stared down at every stop light!

Maybe that's why you're selling it? ;)

Kevin: I asked a Subaru salesman what I should sell it for and "low to mid 40's" was his response. I have already been offered $40K from a wholesaler. So $39,000 would be low. Ball is in your court.

Dendrobium: How are you doing? Good news! Cody @ Total says he has invested in a ECU programmer/flasher. Now he can custom tweak ECUs. Let's say there are too many Blue STi's in W. Van. at least 3 that I'm aware of and I am being confused with a guy that drives at "mach 1" all the time. Even my wife called me on my cell to tell me to"slow down" as she thought it was me on one occasion, I was at the driving range at the time. I don't need the RCMP showing up at my door confusing me with someone else.

Tora: Good question, not sure what I'm going to replace it with. The only thing that could in terms of HP and performance that I haven't already experienced is a 996TT or a new Viper. Still pricey even for a used one. I'm torn to keep it and tweak it for Autocross/track events or to get something else, Fickle I know.
"So many cars, so little time" has been my mantra.

Banjo: With respect to taking over my lease. Not sure what the benefit would be vs. just starting your own lease with my leasing company. I put money down to keep the monthly payments managable. If you're really interested then we can discuss. Must agree on purchase price first.

Thanks for the reply. If I decide I'm willing to pay more I'll let you know.
I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling it at $42k.

Kevin: thanks for your interest. Like I mention, I will consider any reasonable offer over $40K. We're not that far off.

BTW, I ride a Norco 4X4 in red.

cheers.:)

Joe, what about the new RS6?? I guess price is pretty steep but that would be a sweet car. Didn't you have a Porsche before?

Yes I did, and a M3 Cab before that. The RS6 is big dough, no used ones around yet. I'm on the wait list for the new M5 but doubtful that I will pull the trigger on it at this time.

What are you up to these days?

If the car is leased does that mean, the new buyer will be entitled the first owner? Does anyone know this.

Leasing is just another form of financing. Just like a car loan from the bank or even from the manufacturer. Your name is on the paper but the "title" of the vehicle is with the lending institution until you decide to buy out the lease at the end of the term or your car loan is paid out.

Hope that helps.
