evolutionauto 06-07-2004, 04:58 PM the enclosures come packed with some screws that are normally used to hold the enclosures down. however others have used industrial strength velcro to hold them down.

blueribbon 06-11-2004, 12:43 AM do you make other ones for sedans other than what you have here? Like one that you have to remove the spare?

olsaltybastard 06-11-2004, 01:56 AM Paypal sent today for an STi sub enclosure. I PM'd you regarding the shipping address. Thanks,
Brian
evolutionauto 06-11-2004, 11:05 AM the enclosure houses a 10" woofer.
as far as different enclosures, i do have one older style passenger side enclosure left. basically the same thing as the new sti enclosure, just on the passenger side. that enclosure is the same price as the sti ones. other than that, nothing for the spare tire, sorry.

RADON 06-15-2004, 10:53 AM I'd like to show a hand of support for a wagon spare tire enclosure. I'd certainly buy one that fits over the spare tire.
jay25RS 06-16-2004, 03:11 AM How many cubic feet? and how much internal depth for subwoofer?
-Jason
RADON 06-16-2004, 11:41 AM The following are the dimensions I need for a wagon. Would this sub box work?
Cu. Ft. - 0.75 (optimal)
Cutout - 9.5"
Mounting Depth - 5"
* Edited for clarification.
jay25RS 06-16-2004, 12:48 PM Radon, are those the measurements for the evolutionauto box?
Thanks
-Jason
evolutionauto 06-17-2004, 12:32 AM those are dimensions for a box he would like to see built. the volume of my enclosure is .9 cu ft, with a maximum woofer depth of 7".
radon, ive been contemplating that same type of enclosure, so given time you may see it. however, that most likely wont be for awhile, sorry.

Someone let me know if my current amp: Rockford Fosgate Punch 501X
65W x 4 Car Amplifier
65 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms
125 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms
250 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms in bridged mode
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Az640oWF97M/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=575501X
Would be enough to drive my fronts and one of the 10" woofers suggested. Thanks.
Fronts: Rockford Fosgate FNP2614U
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-Az640oWF97M/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=575FNP261U
I just gave the Infinity Basslink a try, and it's not bad, but it sure is ugly. I might hide it in the spare tire space, but then I lose the spare.

evolutionauto 06-22-2004, 02:22 AM a friend here in town has a majestic 50x4 amp with the fronts on a component set, and the rears on a JL 10W0, and his wagon sounds awesome. i would have to say that as long as the woofer you go with is matched pretty well to the power of your amp, you should have no problems. i would think a rockford P2 or P3 10" woofer would do great with that power and my enclosure.
Joe- your enclosure will ship tomorrow, thanks.

MorallyBass 06-29-2004, 03:50 PM I'd love to see that enclosure with a 12" diameter mounting. I'm waiting on one of the new Elemental Designs 13kV2, and looking for enclosure options. For this much money ($155) I may end up just getting one custom built locally.

ASpec818 07-09-2004, 05:26 AM how will this enclosure sound with a jl audio 10w7? i currently have it in the h.o. wedge box and it hits real nice, although it does take up a lot of space in my trunk. the recommended size for a sealed enclosure is: Sealed Range: 1.00 - 1.375 cu. ft. (28.3 - 38.9 ltrs) and
Recommended Sealed Volume: 1.25 cu. ft. (35.4 ltrs.)
evolutionauto 07-09-2004, 10:42 AM pbchief2- got your payment and will ship the enclosure today.
aspec818- the W7 will not fit in my enclosure, just to deep to work. is 1.25 correct on a sealed fitment anyways, thought the 10 should be less than that. i just did a 12W7 the other day, and thats what they called for for the 12.

DISCOPOPE 07-09-2004, 11:32 PM questions.
#1 lets say someone with an sti wanted two boxes,
does the wrx box fit without modification of the ic sprayer?
#2 the square root of 3 plus 79 minus .94461 is ten, do you agree? and if you agree do you do so without reservation?
#3 if i were to send you the paypal for two boxes what would my total be.
#4 if i were to desire a pound of ripe bananas to be included in said purchase, would that violate any international laws?
thank you......
evolutionauto 07-10-2004, 12:31 AM JL10w3 will fit perfectly. that is one of the woofers i designed the enclosure around.
the sti is unable to accomodate 2 of my enclosures, because of the IC spray bottle, so 2 would be out of the question. however, with the money saved on the second enclosure, a better woofer and bigger amp can be purchased that will help you gain the output of having 2 enclosures. other than that, i have no idea what #2 and #4 have to do with anything, oh and i hate bananas.

HudsonWRX 07-28-2004, 03:50 PM I am interested in purchasing the wagon sub box you are offering. I would like to put an Alpine type-R 10" in it; does it have proper volume and depth, etc.? Are there any more available? Please let me know. Thanks!
Rattles 07-29-2004, 03:59 AM any options for us GC8 guys?? i am looking for something like that for my 10w3v2.
evolutionauto 07-30-2004, 12:26 AM hudson, the wagon box has the same .9 cu ft the other enclosures have. the type r sounds great in any of the enclosures. i have quite a few wagon enclosures still available, and still have the pair of type R 10's, dual 2ohm woofers. if your interested i can have the enclosure and woofer combo coming to you ASAP. my paypal address is supersubee@cox.net
mr blonde, i have options for the GC8 coupe, same driver side 10" enclosure that goes into the sti, just different panels to fit the GC8. or i have the dual 8" side panel enclosures for the gc8 coupes, for the total stealth install.

fredrex 08-05-2004, 01:08 PM I am interested in the sedan sub box but I have a question that a number of people might be able to answer. I am considering mounting my amp on top of the box to the left of the trunk lid coutout, but am interested in the dimensions of that particular space, if anyone can help me I would greater appreciate it. In addition how much vertical space is there between the top of the box and the top of the trunk?
Also, I have an old Polk DB 10 sub which still satisfies my needs will this sub fit into your enclosure?
-Zach
SonicSubie03 08-05-2004, 05:30 PM Do you still have the old passanger side style?
If so, I GOT DIBS.
I'll take one for the driver and one for the passanger. Man that would look sweet.

evolutionauto 08-11-2004, 12:53 AM sorry everyone, i have been on vacation for a few days and had no internet access.
sorry rob, you develop the site and there will be one. till i get that done, there wont be one.
mr.blonde i do have a set of side panel enclosures for you to purchase. the 8w3's should work great in those enclosures. that woofer was my favorite in those enclosures, and the v2's should be even better. price is $275 shipped for the dual 8" enclosure kit, which comes with the pair of enclosures, a pair of grills, and all mounting hardware.
fred, i would recommend mounting the amp under one of the front seats, not on the box, mainly for security reasons. you can fit a pretty big amp under the seats. if you are hell bent on putting it on the box, i know a few others have, i can measure the open area on the top of the box and get back to you on it.
sonic, i dont have an old style enclosure in stock, but i can always build you one. there has only been one other person who has bought a pair of enclosures, so i havent had a chance to play with a dual 10" setup yet in anyones car. if you want the passenger side enclosure, it would be $155 shipped for it, and would take appx. a week or so to make and get shipped, maybe more. drop me a line at supersubee@cox.net and we'll get it all worked out.

MorallyBass 08-11-2004, 01:02 AM I got my STi box Friday and promptly installed it. I'm running a JL Audio 10w6v2 from an Alpine MRD-m300 (300 watts @ 2 ohm) and I am overjoyed. First of all, the box was built perfectly. It's custom fit to the exact groove and contour of the side of the trunk, and matches the interior well. Mounting it with the enclosed bracket was pretty easy, and I was able to get it up and thumping in 20 minutes. I'll post pictures once I get a chance to take some.
I can't recommend this box enough, great looks, great sound, and an easy solution.

titaniumbadger 08-12-2004, 01:38 PM How may wagon boxes do you have left? Have you installed any JL 10W0's? Are the 10W3's worth the extra money? Do the boxes already have terminals mounted to them or do I have to do that? Are the boxes you have in stock for the drivers side?
Thank you.
Shawn
evolutionauto 08-12-2004, 11:39 PM thanks for the post morallybass, glad you like the enclosure.
manny, your enclosure went out today.
titanium, i have probably half a dozen wagon enclosures left ready to ship. the woofer you choose should be mainly decided on the amp you plan to run. if you are running less than 200 watts, go with the W0. if 200-400, go with the W3, and if more than 400watts, go with a W6. the wagon enclosures are for the drivers side.

04boostwagon 08-12-2004, 11:53 PM Will the wagon fit an 8w7? Or a 10w6v2? I already have the w7, but if it'll only fit a 10, then i'll trade it for a w6v2. also, is it possible to have the sub firing up rather than out the side? I'm interested. Thanks.
04boostwagon 08-12-2004, 11:56 PM Actually, I see i should have read it was only for 10's. but I'd still like to know if a 10w6v2 will fit, and the top dimensions, like if a jl 450/4 will fit on top of the box. thanks.

P.S will my eclipse alumi's fit in the boxes?
AndyU 08-16-2004, 01:17 PM not sure if this has been answered all ready, but what is the mounting depth? Also, did you guys switch from passenger to drivers side? Is there any particular reason for one side to be better than the other or just preference (disregarding the jack)
evolutionauto 08-16-2004, 10:43 PM the mounting depth is pretty deep. any woofer with less than 7" of rear depth will work with my enclosure. the reason for the switch from the passenger side to the drivers side was the STi has the water bottle on the passenger side. so, making the change allows the enclosure to fit in all the sedans. performance wise they are identical though.

tooocool49723 09-02-2004, 10:48 PM Do you have anymore info on the GC8 sidepanel enclosures? I've got a box with 2 MTX 12's coming from a friend ($50, i couldn't pass it up) but I know it's gonna kill my trunk space. I was thinking about getting some JL's because honestly, 2 8" subs will do just fine in the passenger compartment. Anyway, shoot me a PM if you've got any numbers (mounting depth, what you know will fit, etc.) and any other info about these enclosures.
Thanks
(or you could just post a reply here for all the other GC8 owners to read too)
evolutionauto 09-03-2004, 11:05 AM as a matter of fact, i have all the info on the dual 8 setup :) the dual 8 package comes with the pair of enclosures, a new pair of grills to cover the woofers, all mounting hardware for the installation, and the shipping. each enclosure is .5 cu ft, and will accomodate an 8" woofer with less than 4.5" of mounting depth. pretty much all the JL woofers will fit, except the 8W7. i have used rf woofers, boston, eclipse, and a few others with great success. the enclosures are totally stealth and will not take up any useable cabin space. the install usually takes 3-4 hours for the pair, and it is a total DIY install (with basic tools). i package installation instructions with the enclosures also. that should about cover it all, any other questions feel free to ask away.

I wanna move my Alpine Type R 12 into it...only problem with your setup is that I can't take my golf clubs in the trunk...unless I do a quick disconnect mod to it....however, I like to put my amp on top of the box...yeah I'm nutz.
evolutionauto 09-17-2004, 02:59 AM personally, i like to put amps under the front seats. plenty of room there, and keeps someone from stealing your sub and your amp at the same time. as for the clubs, i'm pretty sure they will still fit in, i believe a few people have posted that their clubs still fit with one of my enclosures in the trunk.

How much does the sedan enclosure weigh?
evolutionauto 09-26-2004, 08:08 PM the shipping weights of the trunk enclosures is 21 lbs. so minus the box weight and packing material, i would guess 17lbs.

I see that you have an enclosure for 1 sub. Do you make one on the opposite side for another one? Or can I only do 1 sub with your set up? Thanks for the help

I went from 2 10" subs to one to save space. I like the sound better now. Two was over-kill.
jaypine 10-04-2004, 01:06 PM Those that have bought a box, how are you securing them?
MorallyBass 10-04-2004, 01:50 PM Not very well :-/
I'd really love to hear solid strategies for this particular enclosure.
evolutionauto 10-04-2004, 09:07 PM the enclosures come with screws to hold the enclosures down to the floor of the vehicle, they should be in with the jack relocation bolt.
for people wanting a pair of woofers, i have 1 passenger side enclosure left. couple that with the drivers side enclosure and voila you have a pair of enclosures.
mafia, i have made some for the older OBS's, but only made a couple. if you want i can make another, but it may take a bit to get put together since i dont have one in stock. price would be the same as the others enclosures, $155 shipped.

I used industrial strength velcro from Staples (next door). I only attached the velcro (three small strips) to the bottom of the subwoofer enclosure. It adheres to the carpet of the cargo area. It hasn't moved yet.

wrx05 11-11-2004, 05:14 PM kevin, you still have the wagon enclosures? How about the Alpine Subs? If you do Im going to want to order. Could you suggest a good amp that wont break the bank to power the setup?
jdubman 11-11-2004, 06:11 PM do u still have a wagon box.
Do you take USPS money order?
J
evolutionauto 11-14-2004, 03:02 PM yep, i still have the wagon enclosures ready to ship. i dont have the woofers anymore, so you would have to provide your own woofers. as for woofers and amps, i would just recommend going down to a local specialist shop and having them demo some different products for you. that way you can listen to the woofer/amp combos that you will be buying. i'm a big fan of JL, rockford, JBL, and crossfire, so hopefully that will get you started.
jdub, i will take money orders, just takes a little longer to go through compared to paypal.

krayge 11-22-2004, 09:42 PM lookin for possibly 2 of them...one driver, one passenger of course. what would be turn-around time for them currently? and do these have 10 or 12 holes cut? do they have connector panels for the subs or how do they pass-thru for the wiring? last q: are these deep enough to mount alpine r-type 10s?
krayge 11-22-2004, 09:56 PM *laugh* ok, just re-read the whole thread and answered most of my questions. :P ok...they are 10" cuts, r-type will fit and you can do a passenger side one. how much of a turn-around for the passenger-side to be done and what kind of pass-thru do they use? spring clip or what? thanks ahead of time.
evolutionauto 11-23-2004, 02:44 AM turn around time would be very little. i have the passenger one already in stock, and will have drivers side enclosures ready to ship hopefully by tuesday night, so it wont take long at all. the enclosures use a spring loaded terminal cup that will accept up to 12ga wire, and they come prewired on the inside.
kevin
www.evo-auto.com
Kwyjibo 11-23-2004, 04:26 AM Can you tell me the interior volume of your enclosure?? Also, mounting depth, and if I can cut out an 11 inch hole in the front :)
thanks.
krayge 11-23-2004, 05:26 PM prewired for single voice-coil i presume? i'd still have to bridge out the subs anyway. PM incoming very soon :)
evolutionauto 11-24-2004, 12:10 AM the internal volume is approximately .9 cu ft, with a max mounting depth of 7". as for an 11" hole, the actual enclosure height is 11.5", so i dont think that a 11" cut out will work very well.
the enclosure comes with a single speaker wire in the box, so if you have a DVC woofer, you would need to wire the second voice coil still, which isnt very hard.

evolutionauto 12-06-2004, 11:14 PM the largest woofer i have fit in one of my enclosures is the power T1 10" woofer from rockford. i believe that is a little over 7" of depth. i have generally listed the max depth of the enclosure as right at 7", and i already know the 10w6v2 will fit great.

Silverscoob 01-04-2005, 09:56 PM Kevin,
I ordered one of the enclosures from the need4speedpower website. Did you get my order? The total was $165 shipped not $155. Also, I have not recieved a reply from 2 emails I have sent to the info@need4speedpower.com address. My questions where, why was the price different? Also, do the screws you include for installation screw into already existing holes or is there drilling involved? Should I order a speaker grill or do you include one?
Thanks,
Derek
evolutionauto 01-05-2005, 01:14 AM brett over at need4speed is another distributor of my enclosures. that is quite odd that he hasnt replied yet, i will get ahold of him tomorrow for you and let him know. this would be the first time i have ever heard of him not replying quickly, so maybe there was a problem with the email. as for the price difference, i have no idea. he is the seller and sets the price for the enclosure. however, i thought he was selling that at pretty much the same price i was, perhaps there was additional shipping or he is including something else with the package.
the screws that come with the enclosure need to be screwed down with a drill, as they go into the metal directly below the enclosure. the enclosure does not come with a speaker grill so you would have to get one.

What is the construction of your enclosure, Just wondering if it would be strong enough as a friend is migrating from a double walled 3/4" MDF enclosure with dynamat extreme between the mdf layers and 1 gallon of fiber glass resin internally from his 2001 Prelude Type SH to possibly your box for his new 2004 WRX wagon.
Thanks,
-Jason
evolutionauto 01-14-2005, 10:17 PM construction is made of 1/2" MDF with a 3/4" MDF baffle. it is internally braced very well, and glued and nailed together. i have had a rockford power 10" T1 and 1000watts hammering away at one in an STi for months now with absolutley no problems.
as for your friend, i dont know why the construction of his enclosure needed to be as such. generally, using some form of sound deadener between layers will actually hinder performance due to the different layers not being properly laminated together.
i can assure you that regardless of what is installed in my enclosure, with whatever amount of power, it will handle it. unless of course we are talking about installing some huge woofer with something like 4000watts, then there might be problems

^Don't Bother^
Is this box sealed?
Where is this "baffle" located in correlation to the woofer?
Is this "baffle" mostly for structural integrity?
Thanks,
Iggy
evolutionauto 02-04-2005, 12:55 AM myracle, that woofer will work just fine in my enclosure. i have used the rockford power stage 1 10" woofer with great success in my enclosure, and that was 7" deep.
iggy, the enclosure is sealed. as for the baffles correlation to the woofer, the reason they call it a baffle is cause thats where the woofer is mounted. the baffle helps with structural integrity since the woofer is mounted to it. it also doubles for looks as it incorporates the trim panel as well, and also countersinks the woofer at the same time. hope this helps you out some.

evolutionauto 02-11-2005, 01:43 AM tre, it looks like it should fit. the install manual for that sub shows overall depth at 6.5", so that will work. the only thing i need to check is to see what the opening of my enclosure is. i cant recall right now, so i will need to go measure one tomorrow and let you know. as for a discount, i dont generally due to the fact that i only stock the one enclosure, and the second one has to be built one at a time since i dont sell those anymore.

thebing 02-11-2005, 03:05 AM im pretty sub dumb, but im looking to get one of the JL 10w6 subs.
http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/pdfs/10_12W6_MAN.pdf
i apologize, i've read the thread like 3 times trying to avoid sounding noobish, but would that sub work? Also, i'd need a passenger side box preferably, so i can have access to my jack still.
evolutionauto 02-11-2005, 04:45 PM the 10w6v2 works great in my enclosure. i have personally installed that woofer in a few friends cars with great results. as for needing a passenger side enclosure so you can get to the jack, my enclosure comes with a jack relocating kit so that you wont have a problem at all. you basically relocate the jack to the spare tire and voila, all set. i dont stock the passenger side enclosures anymore, so it would have to be built anyways. i pretty much always have the drivers side ones in stock though.
kevin

thebing 02-12-2005, 04:10 AM well the thing is, my sub is not the 10w6v2, its the older discontinued 10w6. i just wasnt sure if theres a difference between the v2 or not.

I'll take one, PM me with the Paypal details.
evolutionauto 02-12-2005, 06:55 PM bing- that woofer should work great as well. the V2 woofers are supposedly better than the originals, but i love both of them, great woofers overall. the original w6 was way ahead of its time in the woofer world.
coyote- i would check again, every box goes out with a jack bolt and the mounting screws, maybe it got stuck in the packaging somewhere. it is basically just a bolt, a few washers, and a wing nut. i can either send you one or tell you what it is and you can get one.
tek, got you pm and sent one back.

Roamin'Coyote 02-12-2005, 07:13 PM it's not there.....:( Looked again and only found 4 drywall screws...I'm guessing the jack bolt is a bit bigger than that....brass looking? If so, I don't see it....I looked all in and out of the subbox; squished the fill - nada.

Blue_sooby1 03-01-2005, 12:54 AM I am assuming from previous posts that you will still make the passenger side sedan boxes but it will just require a little wait time. If this is true I would like to order one, I already have some jumper cables/flashlight etc. being stored with my spare and don't think my jack would still fit. Would the passenger side box be the same price as well? I will paypal you as soon as you get back with me.
thanks, Brian :)
Roamin'Coyote 03-01-2005, 10:57 AM box is 0.9 cu ft....my sub wants about 0.6 cu ft - how much polyfill do i put in? I put in about 3/4s and should it be tightly in there (like it came in the bag) or fluffed??
Thanks,
wYlie
evolutionauto 03-01-2005, 11:50 PM i always put the entire bag into the enclosure, but really you should listen to it with and without the fill to see how you like it. i would try it without and then add some, and then add the entire bag and see how you like it.

daphunkie12 03-07-2005, 02:20 PM can the compartments still be opened under the box in the wagon. it looks like the one on the left is covered but how bout the big middle one and the skinny wide rear one? i might just have to pick up one of these.
olsaltybastard 03-07-2005, 07:34 PM I just recently put my sub box in, and am very happy with the results. One quick question though,.....where and how do you relocate the jack? I have the hardware you sent, but didn't see exactly how to do this. Thanks,

jsmonet 03-09-2005, 06:22 PM box is 0.9 cu ft....my sub wants about 0.6 cu ft - how much polyfill do i put in? I put in about 3/4s and should it be tightly in there (like it came in the bag) or fluffed??
Thanks,

polyfill will artificially stretch the box because it slows the rebound of the sound waves. what you actually want to do is get some wood and cut it to .3 cu ft (it's ok if you go over just a little bit) then line the box with polyfill. the fill is good for taming the sound of many enclosures, but you want to start off somewhat close to the volume your sub wants.
also, when some manufacturers give out volumes, they will either include or exclude the displacement of driver. find out if that size is including the displacement of the driver-for example: a .9 cu ft empty box carrying a driver that displaces .12 cu ft will have an effective volume of about .78 cu ft.
image dynamics will commonly recommend a volume of the empty box that takes the driver's displacement into account. if they say .75 cu ft empty, and the driver is .1 cu ft, that means the sub only needs .65 cu ft of net volume (after you subtract for the space the driver takes up)
omg how did i end up writing all that at work O_o
REVNU 03-10-2005, 04:16 AM Any of the passenger side enclousures left for an '05 WRX Sedan? I want one!
wistful 03-12-2005, 01:29 PM ok.. n00b question.. 'bout to throw in a 10w6v2. it says the sealed volume should be between .5-1.0. So.. what's the polyfill for? should I add some? should I not? how does it affect sound?
don
MorallyBass 03-12-2005, 02:54 PM Don - I've got exactly that setup. I've got a JL-Audio 10w6v2 dual-4ohm, wired for 2ohm load. I'm running an Alpine MRD-M300 into it, which puts out 351 watts @ 2ohm. I used the entire bag of poly-fill that came with this enclosure (1 lb), and it sounds really good. I did add a +3 db parametric EQ bump at 31hz to even out the low-end.
evolutionauto 03-14-2005, 12:31 AM js, thanks for the input. however in my experience i have always found the manufacturers spec to be the "smallest" recommended box volume. everyone now adays wants a woofer that will fit in the smallest enclosure, have the most output, and be efficient at all volumes and frequencies. that is why i always suggest to try different amounts to see what works best for a particular woofer. i personally like the sound a sealed enclosure that is a bit bigger than recommended spec, but thats just me. other than that i agree 100% with you :)
rev- i just pm'ed you with info.

REVNU 03-27-2005, 01:05 AM Fitted up my passenger side sub enclosure today on my '05 WRX Sedan... fits great! Thank Kevin!
Now I just have to put in my W6 and I'm set!
kheovnien 03-27-2005, 06:30 AM curious as to y u prefer to make the driver side enclosure on a normal basis? i havn't hooked up subs in the car yet and am not completely familiar with the set up but i would imagine the passenger side enclosure to be better because it doesn't cover up the jack access.
evolutionauto 03-31-2005, 01:50 PM good to hear revnu, let me know how it turns out.
the reason for the drivers side is that with the STi's, thats the only place the enclosure can go. so to only have to make one enclosure that will fit all wrx's is alot easier than stocking each individual one. i still make the the passenger side ones, i just dont normally stock them. as for the jack, the drivers side enclosures come with a jack relocating kit, so that helps that out.

evolutionauto 04-06-2005, 11:20 PM i have to apologize to you guys. i have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. between work, and my wifes pregnancy, i have been foregetting to follow up with some customers. i have been in and out of the doctors all week, and have had very little time to get anything done at home or at the shop. i apologize for this and am trying to get everything worked out and done as quick as i can, so i apologize profusely.
that being said, krayge, i will get those install instructions out to you ASAP, sorry for the wait.
chono- i am emailing you currently with the status on your enclosure.
once again sorry for the wait and hold ups everyone, after this week is over things should be back to normal, i wasnt really expecting to have my wife induced this week.

pbchief2 04-21-2005, 02:22 AM Can you still make a passenger side enclosure?
jaypine 04-21-2005, 02:47 AM Quote:
Those that have bought a box, how are you securing them?
I used industrial strength velcro from Staples (next door). I only attached the velcro (three small strips) to the bottom of the subwoofer enclosure. It adheres to the carpet of the cargo area. It hasn't moved yet.
The Velcro did not work after time. I ended up using some corner braces. I put them in place with half of the brace under the enclosure, marked the locations of the braces, removed the enclosure, secure the braces with small screws into the particleboard, replaced the enclosure and secured the other half of the brace into the enclosure. I used 4-5 braces on bottom and one brace on top. I may add a brace or to on top as well. This enclosure is not going anywhere now.
evolutionauto 04-22-2005, 12:05 AM Can you still make a passenger side enclosure?

wombatsauce 05-31-2005, 10:29 PM Are you still making boxes? Do you have anything for a 2001 RS Coupe?
evolutionauto 06-01-2005, 12:24 AM i do have something for a 2001 rs coupe. i have a 10" trunk enclosure, same as the wrx stuff, just fitted for your car. i also have the dual 8" stealth enclosures that fit behind the rear panels in the rear seat. neither is in stock at this point, but can be ordered. if you would like more info, let me know and i will get you some pics of each setup.
