Ha ha, I got a subaru performance little magazine thingy in the mail yesterday. My wife handed it to me, and said "don't get any ideas, because if you touch the new car you are going to be living in it." I did see in the owners manual that you can take the headrests off the front seats and recline them all the way back to make a bed. Meanwhile I continually look at the v39 and a ECU or reflash upgrade.

I've slept on that "bed" [Yosemite X-C trip]. Not bad, but I wouldn't want to live in it ;)

I bought a slab of 4" thick upholstery foam and cut it to shape the back of the forester. It makes quite a comfy bed for me and my wife. But, we spent 3 nights in a row in it, and by that time we were kind of tired of the cramped quarters. :o

My wife complains about how loud it is, how fast it is, why are you working on it again, what part came in now....

But she has yet to chew me out. I guess that is because we traded in my car for it. Funny how we traded in my car and I pay for it but she picked it out and refused to let me get the sti.

So, we will soon have a forester sti!

WTH, the new house has a two car garage so I should be pretty cozy!

BTW, I already have a bunch of mods on the car to include the sti suspension, sti tmic, bov, header, dp, up, full exhaust all the way back to muffler tip w/ no cats.

Yeah, our new house has a three car garage, but my mustang lives in the third bay. But now that it is consistantly in the tripple digits in the Phoenix area, I don't think I would be that comfortable in the garage.

Now THAT'S a good idea! I get hell every time a new part arrives at home. Some, like springs, swaybars, etc., are a bit hard to hide. Small items (bushings, endlinks, stickers) I have shipped to work... Don't know how i'm going to explain wheels when I get them!

To try to help my cause, I talked my wife into trading in her BMW to get a WRX. SOLD. She won't let me touch it... Don't know if i'm any better, but at least I have two subies!

ROFL, that is *exactly* what happened to me.

Went in for STi, came out with FXT...not that I mind, I';ve come to love the FXT, but we will get the STi next...though at this stage, I'd prefer a Forester STi

I've got the best deal going. New baby coming in september, so we need 4 doors. The answer was go down to the dealership, trade the supercharged toyota tundra and the mildly hopped up 01 RS coupe for an 05 WRX for her and an XT for me.

The only rule: I can't do anything to mine that doesn't get done to hers.

Two sets of wheels/tires, two accessports, two sets of springs, two TBE's, two big TMI's.

This is getting expensive:devil:

He he I am trying to get my wife to trade in for a 05 XT. Vf39 off the STi TMIC off the STi. TXS stealth back. ECUTEC reflash. I am guessing that should net 80 whp more. :)

Even in auto form it should be able to chew 90% of cars out there.

Regards

Nick

PS: now the rear entertainment system is the hard point. I got to find someone that does special work on SUV's with a big sunroof.
