View Full Version : 2005 Legacy GT Turbo Upgrade Turbo in the works
DeadBolt Enterprises 06-09-2004, 06:09 PM We already have one of these in our grubby little hands and should have something in the way of upgrades within 4-6 weeks! There is a LOT of room for improvement here with bigger compressor wheel, maybe a bigger turbine, and lots of port work.

 yeah it is isn't it. Never seen anything like that on a Subie before.
Davenow 08-03-2004, 05:57 PM what turbobacks fit the legacy?
xenonk 08-04-2004, 01:47 PM What are the specs/features other than the HPC coating and the Port/Polish job? Do you have a recommended type of engine management to go with this turbo?

Prestige Motorsports 08-04-2004, 02:26 PM what turbobacks fit the legacy?
So far there is nothing in the US that fits the new Legacys. We are working with a company in Australia to get some turbo backs done for the new cars. One trick is going to be getting some done that will fit both the manual and automatic cars, as the stock exhausts are different.

KanosWRX 08-04-2004, 02:38 PM Just wondering, since you have lots of turbo knowledge, what other IHI turbo do you think this is closest too, as in power/performance?
unbekabal 08-08-2004, 01:57 PM Please let me know if you come out with a KIT, I am also intrested in a boost guage add-on.
(unless the GT has a boost readout on the cluster that i havn't found on the on-line pictures i have looked at so far!)
dynoguy 08-25-2004, 09:53 PM well i'll be looking for some type of upgrade for my gt wagon in a month or so, keep us posted.

You can use any boost gauge on the market
StevesGT 09-29-2004, 10:56 PM what turbobacks fit the legacy?
I have fit the TurboXS DP and high flow cat on my 05 legacy. Also, the WRX/STI borla headers are a direct bolt on. :)
edmundu 10-05-2004, 02:35 PM So what kind of improvements does A LOT add up to? How do these upgrades compare to similar turbos currently available for WRX/STI? Ie: PE1820, APS Sr40, VF22...Are these actually Mitsu cartridges? If so, are they TD05's or TD06? Man, looks like this new legacy is gonna be humbling an awful lot of unsuspecting sports cars!
Sorry for all the ?'s, but Do you have any flow rates, or comp maps for these? Do they add power all throughout the rev range? I think that's it for now...
