Can the WRX engine be upgraded the the STI engine, or is it completely different? Or is it just added boost, and intercooler etc...

it has some stufv that i dont think u can had
like avcs. new internals. differnt trany
so it will cost u like 15-20 g's to do it

I have been told its like vtec

The (new) STi is radically different to the
WRX engine, and its simply not worth trying
to upgrade it to the same spec's

However you can certainly get more power
from your WRX, and close to the Sti specs. But if
you really want a STi engine, best is to wait and
get a s/h engine and ECU and slip it in, then
sell your WRX engine to someone with a RS.

As an example we sell whole WRX and Sti engine's and wire harness;s etc etc.
