For those of you that have this screen, or for Mattjk himself, is there some kind of screen saver mode that the recommended pioneer dvd player has? Such as when the radio is turned on, does something come on the screen or does it only come on when you play a dvd? Also,l do I have the option of adding in a navi unit later on via a second input?

I just turn the screen off when not in use. Mine has a single input, but you could wire a switch before it or run both inputs there. You will only use one at a time right?

im just curious because im a sucker for eye candy and i think it'd be neat if the pioneer dvd unit displays stuff like radio station or cd or whatever on the video monitor when the dvd player is not in use. I was curious if it did that or if it was solely dvd.

what would be great is a screensaver that you could flash "Security System Engaged * Alarm Ready"

usually most dvd players (or anything that has a Video Output) will have a screensaver
i have a cheap PowerAcoustik DVD Player and i have a screensaver option. those expensive DVD players better have one ...
but for when the screen is on and receiving no signal, there is no built in screen-saver in the screen itself. i would suggest not connecting that "power-on" wire and use the remote to turn the LCD on... or connect that "power on" wire to a switch in the car so that you can turn it on using that switch.

We are currently looking for a test car. I'm sure it will work fine though after careful examination of a dealer car. We are giving a discount for the first 05 car.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=568568 Matt, can you tell me if the Pioneer DVD player you suggest has a "screen saver" mode when the DVD player is not in use, EG like when only the radio or cd player is in use? Also, it does have am/fm right? It doesn't seem to indicate that on crutchfield's page.
