Turbo4me 06-11-2004, 03:08 PM How about a flywheel for the 6spd?
:alien:
Curt
BTW: The 6spd is the best thing I have ever done for the car and Mike was VERY easy to deal with.
Bump
Kingpin 06-11-2004, 03:27 PM Should have flywheel for you no problem. Thanks again.
Benjamin Tang 06-12-2004, 11:12 AM tranny serial number please? ie. is this a dccd tranny?
Turbo4me 06-12-2004, 06:03 PM Would you happen to have just an R180 with Diff?
Curt
Rice Boi 06-12-2004, 07:17 PM This is a little off subject,
Do you guys have any 3.9 Legacy turbo ring and pinion available. If not do you guys think you can locate one for me? I need it to complete a 6spd swap into my wrx and nobody has one around my area. Let me know if you can and a price range, Thanks
Hayden
Benjamin Tang 06-12-2004, 08:07 PM if kingpin dosen't have it, try max at gruppe-s. he sometimes has the 3.9's available...
BlackEye 06-12-2004, 08:59 PM Send me a tracking number on that TMIC when you get time...
Thanks again for the deal.
Russ
Rice Boi 06-13-2004, 04:21 AM yeah i've been talking to Max for two weeks now. I'm in the process of getting a tranny from him and he said he has taped his sorcess dry and probably won't be able to find one for a long time. I've checked at several places and they are asking around $350+shipping with two week waiting period. So just shopping for the best price i guess. Gruppe-s said they sold their last one for a little under $200 but $300+ is expected.
Kingpin 06-13-2004, 01:35 PM I only have the brand new 3.9's available currently. they go for about $450. Thanks.

Kingpin 06-13-2004, 06:05 PM Yes.
Leonardo 06-13-2004, 06:06 PM I'm looking for a 6spd WITHOUT DCCD and related stuff for swap.
grantn 06-14-2004, 12:32 AM Do you have an STi intake manifold risers?
ThanX
PHATsuby 06-14-2004, 01:36 AM do you possibly have any extra shift linkage parts for the 6MT at all?
thanks
Ben
Kingpin 06-14-2004, 02:45 AM Have 6 speed with out DCCD also. Thanks.

Davenow 08-18-2004, 12:05 AM so without the dccd, whats the cost of a COMPLETE 6 speed swap? what all is needed ( I can do the install obviously, I am talking parts cost only)
cronic 08-18-2004, 12:21 AM so without the dccd, whats the cost of a COMPLETE 6 speed swap? what all is needed ( I can do the install obviously, I am talking parts cost only)
For the cheap way:
You will need the 6spd,auto wrx drive shaft,3.9 ring and pinion for r160 rear diff.. Plus little things like knob and boot..
For the expensive way(worth every cent)
6spd,sti driveshaft, r180 rear subframe assembly(diff, axles, hubs, etc) with brembos or subaru two pots.
Option 2 gives you an awesome rear end, that can stand a beating, option one is a good route to take if you arent shoting for the stars in power.
SW00P_G 08-27-2004, 07:36 PM Can I use my APS flywheel and ACT clutch with this 6-speed?
Kingpin 08-27-2004, 08:16 PM Yes you can. Thanks.
SW00P_G 08-30-2004, 03:14 PM I may be an idiot, but I've never asked this before. And I also have searched and could not find any results.
Why would you have to change you rear end? If the center diff is different couldn't you just put the one in it outta your WRX?? Or change the drop gear? Of course maybe I just don't get it.......

Kingpin 08-31-2004, 01:24 PM Ratios do not match the WRX. You can replace the R & P so that they do. Otherwise tranny eats itself. Thanks.
Davenow 09-13-2004, 05:14 PM Kingpin,
I am soon to be in need of a tranny solution. What do you have for my 02 wrx?
Cheapest way possible that is COMPLETE. In other words, if you have everything or can direct me to the best place to get everything, that will definately have it, that would be perfect.
The sooner the better :p
Thanks
Dave
Davenow 09-13-2004, 05:15 PM Or even better yet an RA 5 speed setup, thats what I really want :)
Kingpin 09-13-2004, 05:18 PM We have it all here. Tranny with shaft and ring and pinion is cheapest way. Looking about $4600 for everything. Have a Version 5 on the way here. We can do that also. Hit me up.

Rice Boi 09-13-2004, 09:53 PM What kind of deal can you give me on a shift boot and knob for a 6sp?
nomadtw 09-15-2004, 02:08 AM are you including the tranny and engine mounts with the tranny and engine?
if you are not how much for them?
Kingpin 09-15-2004, 02:43 PM Included. Thanks.
Rice Boi 09-20-2004, 06:18 AM Question:
Is the JDM 6spd tranny mount the same as the USDM 6sdp mount? I'm in the middle of swaping trannies on my WRX and I'm missing the upper mount bracket for the 6spd.
If it's the same I'll swing by the local dealer.
Kingpin 09-20-2004, 01:24 PM Sent you email. The USDM 5 speed and JDM STi 6 speed are definately different. I am checking on the USDM 6 speed. Thanks.
Chewy 09-20-2004, 02:21 PM Just wondering if you have a JDM radiator from a EJ20G. I need the brackets and fans too.
Kingpin 09-20-2004, 06:33 PM Not in stock. Sorry. Thanks
subafreak 09-20-2004, 09:36 PM I'm looking for more info on the 6 speeds. I'm thinking of putting one in my SVX that is running a Turbo Legacy 5 speed right now. The tranny mount is in the same location right? Also do the ones with out DCCD still have an LSD front diff? I have also heard that there is a euro 6 speed that comes with taller gearing, is this true and if so can you get them? And did you say that I can still use the Turbo Legacy flywheel and ACT clutch?
Kingpin 09-20-2004, 10:29 PM Wow. Ok...not sure if it is the same as the turbo legacy tranny but i assume so. Suubaru is pretty good at making these interchangable. Non Dccd still have LSD front. We do not bring over the Euro's usually. Could ask around. Most want the shorter gearing. Should be able to use the same clutch flywheel. Thanks.
pux888 09-20-2004, 11:22 PM thanks for not replying to me pm about a tranny

Thats OK, do you know if the euro's do have taller gears? As far as I know it's just a rumor  Anyway what will the JDM 6 speed top out at, and can you get the flywheel too? I should be looking to order in a week or two so what do you have in stock and about how much to ship one to R.I.?
Kingpin 09-22-2004, 01:17 PM I do not know for certain if they have the taller gears. I have never heard that. JDM top speed is 140-150 I believe. Can get cluthc and flywheel also. Shiping to RI is $200. Thanks.
Benjamin Tang 09-22-2004, 01:18 PM i thought it was just the final drive ratio that was different for the EDM models
jesse370 09-29-2004, 02:04 PM I called you guys last week asking about the dccd controler...I just wanted to post in here too...I will buy one the moment it gets in and a shift knob and boot..
subafreak 09-29-2004, 10:43 PM Ok I need non DCCD 6 speed with starter, mount, flywheel (and decent clutch if it comes with it), R 180 rear with axles ONLY! ( I don't need all the other stuff you try selling with it) Also if you could get me the pedal assembly with clutch master and slave and all that would be cool.
Please send a PM or something with a response or total and how to pay (prefer money order or credit card) I want this stuff now.
Thank you.
Kingpin 10-01-2004, 03:28 PM LOL. Most people want the entire rear end including the brembo brakes. WE do sell the 6 speed boxes on there own but do not usually part out the rear ends. I do have 2 R180's available currently. $950 each. We do have the pedal assembly with all parts included for $200. Can pay by cash, check, money order, paypal, or bank transfer. Thank you.

subafreak 10-13-2004, 07:34 PM Did you get my last P.M.? Was wondering when I could expect my stuff.?
