How well does the v-limited lip deal with light to moderate scrapes?

I'm looking to lower my car, possibly with the Tanabe GF210s, which is gonna make it fairly low. I'm no stranger to lowered cars, and I think even with GF210s and a v-limited lip, it still wouldn't be lower than my NSX was. However, my NSX had a factory urethane front lip that was designed to give quite a bit with scrapes, and I did scrape it quite often. It saved the rest of the car from any kind of scrape nastiness. I'm interested in the V-Limited lip to fill that same duty... absorb scrapes to save the rest of the front end. I also like its clean, under-stated style, and that it looks like an easy bolt-on. :)

grippgoat - It's an ABS plastic piece so it can takes scrapes pretty well... ground clearance is only reduced by ~1" at the very front of the car... so I wouldn't worry too much if using the GF210's :)

How does the V-Limited lip mount? On my NSX, the front lip mounted in such a way that it was designed to be "ripped off" without damage to the lip or the car. Basically, there were rear-facing slots in bumper cover, with clips that went over these slots. The clips had a threaded nut welded onto them, and then a bolt went up through the slot and clip, and into the nut, and there was even a spacer built into the bolt to keep it from clamping the clip down too much. The effect was that if the lip was determinedly tugged rearward, the clips would simply slide out the back side of the slots.

JOSHMAN - The WRC wing is fiberglass... but it does fit the stock holes.

grippgoat - It mounts similarly to the way you described the lip on the NSX... the clips won't slip right out if pushed backwards though as they use holes not slots.
