I was thinking of trying but wondering if anyone had tried it before.

I was wondering if I bought a new 'auto' drivers side window button from a dealer and swapped it out with the passanger side window button (on the passanger side of the car) if the 'auto' would glow?

I know the passanger window would not be auto, but at least it would glow so the passanger could see where the window button is located at night.

the button doesn't glow - there is a surface mount LED on the circuit board within the switch and the light from that shines through the "Auto" on the window switch.

You can't interchange the driver and passenger side switches. The driver side isn't a separate switch, it is part of a modular assembly consisting of the four window switches and the door lock switch all mounted on a common circuit board. The passenger side just has the single switch.
