So I am in the middle of putting in my Compustar alarm, and I started reconnecting things. I put the three steering column harnesses back in, started the car, and noticed that my outside temp gauge was no longer working. So I unplugged them one by one and when I removed the harness on the far left, under the turn signal/headlights/cluster brightness switches, the temp gauge worked! Then I plugged the harness back in, and the temp gauge still worked. I shut the car off and started it again. Temp gauge still didn't work until I unplugged it.

Anybody have any ideas? It's kind of weird because I didn't even touch those wires for the alarm.

Did you do anything to the AC/Heater harness? If the harness going into AC/Heater is disconnected the Temp display will not work.

Ahh, thank you. No, I have not reconnected it yet. That might explain why when the temp gauge did work, it said it was 42 degrees outside.
