I was told a "rumor" that certain EJ22T blocks have better oil cooling than others or something...oil coolers perhaps? Just curious...I bought a 1991 EJ22T longblock and want to know as much as possible about it before I tear into her. Thanks all! :)

(BTW I'll be using EJ20 heads so I can run a Link44S prob...unless someone wants to recommend against using that ECU with a good argument)

Nope, as far as I know, the 4 years that they ran the EJ22T they were all the same.

The 91 was supposed to have an oil cooler, I don't know about the 92-94's

I don't believe the '92-'94s had an oil cooler.

As far as the block is concerned, there is no difference.

only the '91's had the cooler. The blocks are the same...

shall I continue the trend that all the engines are the same and only the 91's have oil coolers?
