I was wondering which you guys would choose for a Blue 2002 WRX, 17" or 18" prodrive p1s in either gold, silver, or anthracite?

Which one should i choose, i'm at a total loss and i've completely given up on choosing what size/color.

Well, One-slow, I have a blue-baru with 17" P1s in anthracite and I love it. There are only two colours to go with the blue: gold or anthracite. I chose the anthracite 'cause I like it.

I wouldn't go 18 unless you drive on glass-smooth roads as the ride can be harsh and the weight of an 18" P1 might be a bit much. Other than that, it's a good rim and the colour looks great with blue.

Man, you are a NooB! that's OK, it's all fun and games...

My suggestion would be to get some spline drive lug nuts for your nice new wheels. The stock nuts may not fit (mine didn't but check with some others). That's about it, it's just a wheel so nothing too complicated..

the p1 is based on the WRC Impreza's tarmac wheels, they are 18's and in gold. since you have the WR Blue i favor the gold in 18 inch , and if you get the 18's you can wedge some beefy 235/35s on them... just a sugestion.

do you have a spoiler? what year is your ride? if you got a 02 or 03 WRX i'd also aim for some projector headlights... but that's just me.

i have an 02 WRX with the stock spoiler, i'm not sure about the 18s though, i've got the stock brakes on it so if i got the 18s it wouldn't look too good. i was looking at this WRC insipred spoiler by wings west, but i don't know, i got a few other things to do first.

ahh the US spoiler is cool cause it's the same as the JDM STi so you can go for that kinda look. in that case go for the 17's.

if you wanted to get rid of the OE spolier for an WRC inspired upgrade go with the 04 STi's spoiler. they cost about the same as the ones from wings west but they come pre painted in factory colors so you save a few bucks that way.

then there's always the "Sti prodrive style" look. it's what i'm aiming for with my car. except mine's silver.

i think they look sweet. (with 17's) the problem i'm haveing is scoring the front bumper/ grill.

:rolleyes: yes if you get the 18's get the beefy 235/35s I have 225/40s and I REALLY wish I would have gotten the bit wider higher tire,, would make the ride a bit better as well.

I have an '02 sedan with 17" Anthracite P1's with a 22b spoiler. I think they look great. I have seen the 18's and my feeling is that they fill the wheel well better and just plain look badass, but since the suspension seemed to designed with 17's in mind the 18's may get a bit harsh and not take to bumps all that great in a turn.

anyone with a PSM WRX got these wheels? I really want to see different color fo the P1 on PSM preferably wagons

anthracite 17's here. nice rim. not the lightest, but i think one of the strongest cast wheels you'll ever run on.

How much are those P1 17's weigh?

I have a GM6(GC8) in RBP and have received a lot of compliments on the rims. The rims are 18's with a harsh ride so I suggest you get the 17's. As for tire width, I run 225's and the clearance is tight with my KYB AGX suspension. Not sure about clearance issues with the GDB.

Got the 17" jobbers with 225/45/17 Eagle F1 GS-D3. Can't post pic for some reason but they look good. OH and they weight in a 17" size 19.2lbs. They are a cast Aluminum wheel. Not sure how much the 18" weight.
