I have a set of 4 of these left over from my 2000 RS-Turbo widebody project and was curious of they would work on my STi for track events.

I looked on Tirerack and they sell a set of BBS rims that are 18x8 with the same offset so I assume that the Racelines would work too. I was thinking of mounting up a set of PZero Coras on them.

May sound stupid, but why not just take off one of the wheels (front preferably) and then swap a Raceline on? Being as you do have the wheels already, so not liek your goign to be fronting any additional money. No need to have a tires mounted on them yet, you should be more concerned about the clearance of the brakes and if they will even fit.

That is a danged good idea which is why I did exactly that. They cleared just fine but are darned close on the outside.

It's hard to tell if I will run into anything with tires mounted though. I ran into that problem when I mounted some Michelin tarmac rally tires on my Prodrive P7s. They ended up being too tall because the tires were very square shouldered.

I guess the only way to tell is to get the PZeros and mount them up.

Exactly my thoughts.... now if you have more than 3-4mm from the inside face of the wheel to the outside face of the Brembo you should be fine.

Let us know the results..... if they work I can add them to the "Wheels that fit the STi" thread that I compiled.

Bah, I stand corrected. I just tried a front and the hub hits the brakes. I am NEVER going to find a use for these danged rims.

What's the clearance/interference like? You could run a custom 3mm spacer on the front with stock studs, or a 5mm spacer kit with upgraded studs. H&R makes the 5mm, it's around $75. Nothing wrong with widening the track up front slightly. Otherwise it's a perfect fit with a 245/35-17 tire, there's a looong thread about someone fitting some superleggera's of that exact size.

I'm actually going to bring the car down to my shop today and play around with different options. I have a set of Prodrive 330MM brakes that I am going to throw on and see if that will solve some fitment problems. If that doesn't work then I will give the space idea a try.

None taken. It's just that I've been looking for an 18x8 with a 50 or 51mm offset for quite some time now...besides the few wheels by Prodrive, BBS, and SSR...

Didn't know these were even available until now :)

I prefer a simpler rim. My favorite rim is the Prodrive P7 which I ran on my RS-Turbo. To each his own mate. :)
