I just got my combination oil/tranny fluid cooler from Summit Racing. Nice kit BTW! Problem is that it's quite wide and I can't fit it across the front of the radiator. Doesn't fit if I turn it vertically either.
I think I can make it fit if I mount it behind the radiator underneath the fans. I'll have to put spacers between the fans and the radiator support, but I think it'll work. I'd rather have the cooler in front of the radiator, but I really want the combo cooler instead of two separate ones...
Also, does anyone know which line from the tranny is the return line? Both my lines run into/out of the driver's side of the radiator.

Thanks in advance for the help, thoughts, suggestions!

Regards! John

If you can't find anywhere that the cooler will go it'll still help cooling as long as it gets some kind of air flow....just don't locate it where it could get killed by a rock or something.
The tranny return line is the top one.

Thanks for the feedback! Last night, I gave some thought to taking out the AC condensor. I don't use AC here in Maine! ;-)

Have you tried behind the grill? How much was the kit? Did it come with thermostats?

Decided to pull the AC condensor out to make room for the cooler. I'll pull the rest of the AC system out later. We really don't need AC up here in Maine. Cooler fits fine now.

FYI, the cooler is a dual circuit cooler-engine oil and tranny fluid in the same cooler. It comes with a remote oil filter kit and all hoses and clamps etc. It's a really nice kit for $99. It's in the latest Summit racing catalog...

Have a great weekend! John
