I probably means the harness is there and is not obviously damaged, but how the hell is he supposed to check that it works with the engine out?

he's local & always been straight up from what I've seen. I've seen him refund buyers for parts sold before shipping them out because of a last minute discovery of damage missed.

He pulls entire cars & parts them out. So they are checked to run or not before disassembly. The pic is usually not actual, just a generic snap of an earlier sold motor; its usually the description & mileage that changes. He usually sells them w/o the dash harness. but w/ the engine harness. I've seen that actual engine & it does'nt look out of the ordinary. (Its still sitting on its front end.) (the harness is probably not guaranteed since once its unplugged, the contact points & pins are exposed)

I spoke to him about front end collisions in the past & he knows better than to sell those now as they tend to suffer valve damage. (I think he must have sold ~20 of these by now)

I've bought tons of stuff from him, just no motor installs yet. He usually gets a new one every other week or so, & if they don't go, then a yard gets it.

His name is Daniel & he's a good guy.

btw: if anyone wants silverthhorne metallic RS 99-01 parts I've been trying to wheel some parts off a new arrival of his. The RS 2 door had a side impact hit on the DS. Its unlisted so you may be able to pitch him for parts from it.

if it is in working order it is a screaming deal for 1600
for that price you can replace whatever is missing...

whish that had been around when i bought my engine..

I can vouch for Daniel to.

I've bought from him and the parts were first rate.

He ships by Bax International air freight so if you can have it shipped to somewhere with a forklift, its a big help.
