I'm looking into buying a 2004 or 2005 STi. I'm based in Davis. Can anyone advise me which dealers I should check out in the Nor Cal area? I'm happy to travel 100 miles or so.

Also, what are the differences between the 2004 and 2005 models? Do any differences justify buying one model over the other? Cheers.

05's have a stereo, fender flares, wider wheels, and most likely some other modifications.

The "best" dealers in the Bay Area are Carlsen Subaru in Redwood City and Santa Cruz Subaru. Both will give you a no-nonsense price over the phone. They also have excellent service reputations around here.

DONT GO TO CYPRESS COAST MAZDA SUBARU. that is all i have to say, they will try to screw you over. they are trying to sell an sti for 34K and said their invoice was 31K or something like that. if you question why i say this, see the thread dealer LIED!!!! in the general forum.

Are there any reputeable Subaru dealers in the Sac area (in a radius that includes Vacaville, Woodland, Roseville, Elk Grove) that would be worth an initial visit in relation to buying an STi? Or perhaps ones that I should maybe avoid? I'm willing to travel to Santa Cruz and Redwood City but to get the ball rolling sooner rather than later I might check out some more local places first. Cheers.
